There are not a lot of choices on Easter Island. This is a nice location because it is away from the main road, but you can walk to anything in the one town on Easter Island from the hotel in 15 minutes. more

I pretty much agree with the other reviewers regarding this hotel. However, I was robbed while sleeping in my room at the Taha tai Hotel. Neither my roommate or I woke up, but in the morning I was missing my waist pack containing my Passport, cash, credit cards, camera, PDA, glasses, etc. The local Detective / Chilean Govt. Liaison was... more

The worrying about Rapa Nui is that many guests change accomodation upon arrival or after the first night. We have moved out from a Tripadvisor top rated neighboring place to this hotel after a terrible experience. We were lucky that one room was free as it was the last week-end of high season (the second Sunday in March) and overbooking... more

I had already hotel hopped on my trip to Easter Island so I got around a bit and saw several hotels after deeming that my previous hotel Vai Moana was uninhabitable. This hotel was 5 dollars cheaper and a world of difference. Our room was a triple occupancy in the main building. It was clean and comfortable, good air conditioning... more

We stayed at the Taha Tai for 4 nights. Our room was in one of the two wings of the main hotel. Our 'view' was of a wall, which if I stood on tip toes I could see the sea, but as we were rarely in the room it was of little consequence. The room and bathroom was spotlessly clean.... more

I had an excellent week on Easter Island and a pleasant stay at Taha Tai. It is very conveniently located and everything is in easy walking distance. The chalets are very clean and have good bathrooms with plenty of hot water. The decoration lacks style, a pitty. The breakfast is served in a pleasant room overlooking the sea and village.... more

We spent 4 nights at the Taha Tai hotel. It is not new but is clean, in good condition, and very quiet. It's a 5-15 minute walk to the harbor area and most restaurants in Hanga Roa. The staff are friendly, helpful and speak adequate English. They serve a buffet breakfast at a building a bit separate from the main... more

A nice little hotel, which was perfectly adequate for our needs and was actually better than we expected. Rooms were decent size with colorful, cheery bedspreads and were very clean. Despite the tropical nature of the island we only saw a couple of very small bugs in our room during the entire 5 nights we were there. Maid service was... more

We stayed at the Taha Tai for 4 nights. Dinner in the restaurant was expensive, but the continental breakfast buffet was very good. We had many choices and I very much enjoyed the cheese, although I'm not sure what type it was. The hotel is a short walk to town and very close to the ocean, although not to a... more

Taha Tai is divided into a main hotel with two wings, and cabin-style rooms toward the ocean. We stayed three nights in the south wing with a view of the pool, which was unique. For all of the island's dirt, Taha Tai did a commendable job cleaning, though the dirt was ubiquitous. The room itself was rather simple, containing minimal... more
