I stayed at Mahina TakaTaka for 5 days, enjoying every minute of it. Lucia is the most gracious of hostesses. The room were spartan, yes, but they have their own private shower and facilities (albeit you must ask for the hot water to be turned on at times). We stayed with Lucia and friends for 6 fantastic days. The property has 4 rooms each with a private toilet/bathroom. The rooms are sparse but adequate with comfortable clean beds. Breakfast is served in the dining room. We were lucky enough to there durung avacado, guava season so great breakfasts to start the day. Hose would bake fresh bread each... more
The four rooms that are for rent are sparce but the beds are clean and comfortable. En suite bathrooms are adequate for travellers but not luxurious. Everything that may be lacking is made up for by the welcome and the service that Lucia gives, not just at breakfast time. English visitors are particularly welcome.
