There is no such place like Easter Island. Hotels there are not so excellent, but forget it, island is excellent. Hotel Otai is like others, rather simple but from there you can rent a car and you feel like you are a member of hotel family. more

This is a 2 star hotel at best. WIth only 3,000 people on the island, you won't find a decent place to stay. I note that the reviews concerning this hotel have been mixed - albeit mostly good. My experience was positive. I was only on a B&B package and the breakfasts were basic (not up to the standard expected in, say, European hotels) but the accommodation was very clean and comfortable. Don't expect mod cons - no television, no air-con, no minibar... more
