I found Explora lodge in Rapa Nui extremely relaxing with quiet comfortable rooms, great food (too much really), extremely passionate and knowledgeable guides proudly how casing their Island. Free wifi available in the bar, lounge area, but designed for a break from the world with no TV or wifi available in the rooms. AND they weren't obliged at all but... More

Very costly. All inclusive. Guides are outstanding. They are proud of their heritage and explain it well. Rooms nice. Food so-so. Very limited menu and table servers have limited English so it is hard to have requests met.

Easter Island was on my bucket list so I was thrilled to visit in January. The hotel is lovely but some kinks in the infrastructure (AC was out-- but they brought a fan), food quality was mixed, and the activities (main attration ) were mostly well done. I chalk up the hiccups to the remote location but with the rates... More

Explora is designed to get you out to enjoy the area you are visiting, not for lounging around the hotel. The rooms are nice and so is the spa area but you are there to see Easter Island so that is how the hotel is geared. They offer one excursion in the morning and another in the afternoon. The guides... More

First of all, let me say that this trip was totally worth it. Easter Island is Amazing! The programs offered at the Hotel are so diversified that you never get bored. The walks are awesome, you go into caves, on beaches, on top of volcanoes, and then of course, you have the Moai... The rooms are nice, you sometimes see... More

Everything is included including drinks, they have a great spa, great views. The rooms are spacious and well equipped. The best part is the tours you can take two half days or a full day. You can do more in nature and eco tourism than in any other place, great treks and bicycle tours. Very recomended! Food is great!

We had a wonderful stay here in mid February. Located out of town with beautiful sea views from both the hotel and the rooms-we often saw wild horses from our room. Nice outdoor pool too. The tours were excellent. Well thought-out and taking you off the beaten track. Though crowds got off our plane, we barely saw a soul on... More

The hotel is wonderful: in perfect harmony with the surroundings. The guides are always helping, explaining the local culture, history and trying their best to help you see the highlights of Easter Island. The hotel management puts your comfort and you above everything! Fantastic staff! Thank you!

I am so happy that I selected the Explora Rapa Nui for our time on Easter Island. It is located away from the main village with a gorgeous view of the ocean from every room. While the air conditioning in the room did not really work, the overhead fan with cross ventilation made sleeping comfortable. Meals are included and there... More

I am at a loss to understand the good reviews of this hotel. It is overpriced and very definitely not a first rate hotel. Other travellers mention the broken air-conditioning - which has been broken for almost a year - but that was the least of our problems. Maybe we just had a bad week but we had a series... More
