Great location, close to everything. The common area looks attractive and it is comfortable. The rooms are basic. The showerhead in our bathroom was broken. Marcelo was late to pick us up at the airport and to drop us off. The overall feeling is that the family is more concerned with making profit out of the hot tourist destination rather... More

We were really excited to stay at the Kaimana Inn based on all the positive reviews but unfortunately all the poor ones stated when the owner is away this is not the place to stay is true. This is a great location but for the experience we had there I would not recommend it! It started at the airport our... More

We spent four nights at the Kaimana. Breakfast was good - fresh fruit, cold cuts, cheese, coffee, and delicious bread. The owner and all of the employees seem very nice (only the owner speaks English). I believe they would organize tours for guests but we rented bicycles one day and the rest of the time a friend lent us a... More

Was picked up by Marcelo at airport, he was there and had a sign for myself and another family and gave us all welcoming flower necklaces (lay). He took us for a quick tour around town 10-15 minutes (to orientate us) and dropped me off at car rental place (to pick up ATV) and brought my bags to hotel. The... More

My rating of the Kaimana Inn as average is what I expected prior to my trip. As a budget hotel I had no complaints. The owner was great, the breakfast was very helpful to get my day started. The room was clean and the water was hot with good pressure. The bed never compares to home. I appreciated that the... More

Firstly, as I am sure you will already know Easter Island only really offers VERY high end or quite basic hotels, without anything in between. Kaimana Inn is "one of the best" in the basic category, according to the tour guide we had.  To give you an idea of layout: the main rooms are located around a central 'courtyard' where... More

Five minutes by car from the airport, especially if Marcelo, the owner, comes to pick you up. Kaimana is a charming place with plants growing all around. The rooms are around a central hub that is the eating/lounging space that places a dent on privacy (especially if you are in Room 1) unless you keep the curtains drawn. It was... More

This small hotel is conveniently located in the heart of town, within an easy walk to just about anyplace in town you might want to go. The staff is friendly and courteous and the owner, Marcelo, is charming and helpful. The rooms are pleasant and the beds are comfortable. You may encounter a bug or two, but I suspect this... More

As with previous reviews, what stood out most about Kaimana Inn was the owner, Marcelo. He is a truly genuine guy and made us feel extremely welcome. He gave us a very personalized tour and it is obvious that he has a deep knowledge and appreciation of the island's history and the Rapa Nui people. The room itself was cozy... More

The hotel itself is rather basic - there's a clean room with a fridge, a bathroom and a common area, but for the price this seemed very good, especially considering that things in Easter Island are generally more expensive than in mainland Chile for obvious reasons. The inn had a nice homey atmosphere and we had a very comfortable stay... More
