Our vacation started on the right note as Marcelo (owner) picked us up from the airport with pretty floral garlands. He speaks good English so he was able to help us get familiar with the town. The hotel rooms are clean and gave an island feel. No A/C but the breeze and the fan in the room was enough. Breakfast... More

I stayed for six nights and greatly enjoyed my time there. The Kaimana Inn is located right on the main street in town, so it is very convenient to walk to everything in town. Staying here is like staying with family. You can actually meet the whole family! Marcelo picked me up from the airport along with other guests. He... More

Marcello and his family and staff ensured we had an amazing visit. From airport pickup, to tours and advice, Marcello did an amazing job. Rooms were comfortable and reasonably priced. Did not miss air conditioning, there was a fan available and loved the fresh air. Hotel is close to everything. Enjoyed breakfast and sharing stories with other visitors. All in... More

This is a wonderful place for travellers. It provides Polynesian breakfast and clean rooms. A lovely lodge outside rooms makes people a good connection where you can have a chat and exchanging your experience of Easter island.

We stayed in Kaimana for 5 nights, it was a generally nice experience for us. The owner and his family were very friendly and were eager to provide assistance if needed. The location was excellent, just took less than 15mins to reach the sea and airport. The breakfast was simple but good; yet it will be perfect if the lights... More

We visited Easter Island the last week in Feb. The weather was beautiful, if a bit warm, and the Marcelo did a wonderful job of showing us the Island and providing the history. His passion for his work, his family, the island and his people is clearly evident. We really enjoyed his tours. One cannot stay here expecting lavish quarters... More

Marcelo and his family made me and my wife feel at home for the 4 nights of our visit. Marcelo makes certain that you don't miss a thing. Dinner, car rentals, history, and warmth are all part of the planning that is offered as part of your stay. The inn itself is exactly what you would expect when visiting a... More

Marcelo and his wonderful family and staff made my 4 night stay here just perfect. The Polynesian breakfast was varied daily and plentiful. The airport pickup with a welcome floral necklace and the return to the airport at the end with the little shell neckace was a lovely touch. Marcelo arranged for my being able to see a maximum of... We traveled in May 2013, so this review is long overdue. Although not inexpensive, Kaimana was a wonderful place to stay. It's not like a chain hotel- it's a family run inn with quirks and character. We were so fond of Marcelo's dog and children. Unlike other guests who have posted here, I was quite delighted to hear their chatter... More
