We did not stay at this hotel, but reserved a table for a dinner one night (dining is accepted only by previous reservation, normally for 8.30 p.m.). The chef is the well reknown Matìas Tesorieri (also owner of the nice Winebar Borravino). The dining room is beautifully furnished, we got a table with a wonderful lake view with still sufficient... We stayed here for two nights during a month-long visit to Argentina in November/December of 2014. It's a very pleasant hotel with a beautiful lakeside location and helpful staffers, and it offers an excellent breakfast. We stayed in one of the cabanas--our room was huge, quiet and clean.

We were two couples and we stayed at the Posada La Escondida for six nights. First of all I agree with the viewers who describe the place as special with breathtaking views from each window. We had reserved one room and one suite. The first suite we were assigned to was located below the kitchen (Lola Mora). Impossible to rest,... More

I am writing this review from Villa Pehuenia, a tiny town where less than 1000 people live around the year; located right in the middle of the Andes near the limit with Chile. Villa Pehuenia is NOT easy to get to, there is no pavement roads than connect the town with other cities but is really beautiful. The inn has... More

There are only a few rooms (six or eight) and one cabaña in this hotel. Each room has a balcony and private access to the lake. The rooms are very nice with good beds, even the bathrooms have lake views, so you won't miss a thing even while showering. Lobby and "living room" are very airy and have huge windows.... More

I have visited this charming posada and village a few times. Villa Pehuenia is NOT easy to get to...long, hard, dusty roads hours from anywhere. The gov't is slowly rebuilding and ultimately paving the main road from Alumine to VP. La Escondida has undergone a change in ownership but it had not changed in my view..and that is good. It...
