Friendly staff, tasty breakfast, nice kitchen. Internet a little slow but hey it is everywhere in this region! Conveniently close to a grocery store and not too far from the main drag. Important to realize they are cash only -- no cards, so budget appropriately!

If you're looking for a budget place with decent facilities, an outpost but cozy style fitting the location, and proximity to the town's center, this is the place to stay. Plus Condor de los Andes has a large common/ breakfast area which invites socializing. I can't say there was too much of that going on when I was there, but... More

The location is average in town (not far from a big diesel power generator. Helpful staff. Fairly basic backpackers haunt which tends to live on its reputation. If you book ahead you can probably find much better value for money elsewhere in town.

Excellent location as it is only 1 block away from the main bus terminal. There are many restaurants and shops nearby too. During check in, the staff were not very friendly and seemed quite reluctant. The rooms were well maintained and basic. Wifi was not reliable at all. Breakfast was two pieces of bread with jam. I guess you get... More

Great place to stay! We had a comfortable room with a private bathroom. The bed was comfortable and the bathroom was clean. The staff was very friendly and helpful. The kitchen is decently stocked and very clean. We enjoyed the variety of people who stayed there and made some good friends! Wifi isn't very reliable, but there are lots of... More

Warm, very close to bus station and plenty of dining space. Small kitchen, rooms by front desk are really noisy (if you are a person who is noisy this place will suit you) and over priced. There are a lot cheaper and friendly hostels in town where you don't have to make your own beds.

We stayed a couple of days in a 4-bed dorm (130Peso per Person) at this hostel in El Chalten. The price includes a simple breakfast (bread, butter, jam, hot drinks and flavoured sugar water). (+) - The hostel is very clean - Staff was very kind and always ready to help and give information - Beds were very comfortable -... More

Nice hostel with all facilities expected of a branded/chain hostel. We had room 15 that smelt a little...more damp smell but liveable. Room size and bathroom decent for price. Breakfast was very simple of bread and jam...other hostels in Argentina offer homemade jams and breads which this lacked. Close to bus garage so convenient but think better places out there... More

My wife and I stayed at the Condor de los Andes hostel for one night and had a very pleasant experience. We made our reservations while already in El Chalten and when we came back a few days later to check in, the receptionist remembered us and took very good care of us. The room with private bath was clean,... More
