The positives: -Clean rooms at a decent price -Large kitchen was well equipped, clean, and organized -Good location near bus station and two grocery stores -Friendly, helpful staff The negatives: -Dorm room was so hot that we had to open windows at night -Wifi was non-existent (not just bad, but zero wifi) -Kitchen was frequently crowded so we had to... Nice staff but the breakfast is a joke (four tiny pieces of bread with jam and butter, that's it) and the kitchen was really dirty and there is almost nothing in there (knives etc). Generally wouldn't recommend

I went in april 2015 to el chaltén (2 minutes-walk from the bus-station). We stayed in a private room, which was nice but very small. Shower and heating very good. We stayed here for 5 days and did a lot of hikings (capital of the trekking!). The staff is very friendly and helpful. They gave us a lot of information... More

We stayed here for a couple of nights as we headed north. While the staff were friendly and accommodating and the common area was good to hang out in and the bedrooms warm the hostel could up its game given the mount of hostels opening up in the town. You were given sheets and had to make your own bed,... More

Very nice rooms, very clean! Very kind hospitality! Fair prices, cheap comparing el chalten. Nice breakfast and a great kitchen to cook. Great place to stay in el chalten! The only bad thing i can mention is the wifi which is terrible. Very recommended!

Quiet hours were enforced depending on the employee (obviously, if you're staying in a dorm room, you should always travel with earplugs), but all of the staff were super friendly!!! Crazy funky town. Pretty clean, but basic hostel...

We stayed here for 2 nights. The hostel is clean and has a nice common area. It is well located within the town, supermarket, restaurants and bars all within walking distance although the town is quite small. We stayed in a 6 bed dorm which was an an average size but was clean with an en suite. The breakfast in... More

The staff here are great and the common eating area is lovely with great views, but the rest is pretty average. The kitchen is poorly equipped, cramped, and tiny. The six bed dorms are also pretty cramped snd the cleaniless is pretty so so.

We travelled here on a 3 hour coach trip from El Calafate, a nice simple comfortable journey that was only interrupted by the enforced presentation at the park entrance! Off the coach, watch the presentation, back on the coach, then 5 minutes to the hostal. We had a room with a private bathroom; the room was very clean and comfortable.... More

Stayed one night here; first time in a hostel in 20 years! We booked a private room with bath and it was a great deal. El Chalten has lots of options, but most charge a lot for not very much--- Condor de los Andes was a good value, They booked our bus tickets, changed money and were generally very friendly.... More
