Hotel is perfectly located - amazing views of sunset overlooking the town, and just a few steps from the funky L Cerevecia microbrewery and restaurant. Hotel was exceptional - friendly and v. helpful staff, super comfy beds, great food and atmosphere. And my daughter left her camera (with 3 wks of vacation photo's) behind in the room - staff tracked... More

Los Cerros provides very nice accommodations. The rooms are large and clean. One of the best features is the large picture windows -- wonderful for watching the sun rise. The staff is very helpful and friendly. The breakfast buffet is very good, however the meals served in the restaurant for dinner are not very impressive and you are much better... More

Problem with the water heater the first night we were there -- which was unfortunate since we had just spent 2 days in the wilderness -- but they comped our dinner, which was a nice gesture, and the water heater was repaired by the next day. We spent 4 nights in the El Chalten area, and did try a few... More

Well located in the small town of El Chalten on a hill with a great view down the valley. Staff was very friendly and accommodating. Box lunches for hiking were good. The hiking from town is magnificent. The rooms are average, but have large picture windows. Rooms are warm and there is a heavy comforter on the beds...too warm for... More

We stayed just one night in this hotel. Friendly welcome and welcome drink was being offered. Good location, just above village centre. Dogs barking at night. Warm rooms although we switched off the heating. Comfortable rooms. Small sauna which they don't seem to use much. It fits just one person if you can get in at all. Just make the... More

Great service and hospitality. Met all of our needs. Awesome food. Wish their wifi was faster. Highly recommend. Definitely get their boxes lunches. They will transport to and from El Calafate. We spent three nights and would stay here again.

El Chalten is a small village of about 1000 people and this sort of rustic-looking hotel overlooks most of it. Great location to walk to the local microbrewery, ice cream shop, a mile or so away from the ranger station and the all the shops in town inbetween. The rooms have huge windows so you can enjoy the view; at... More

Hotel sits up on a hill in the middle of el Chalten. The rooms are average as is the food but the service is excellent. It's roughing it a bit but consider where you are. There aren't a lot of choices where you can stay but there are some very good restaurants in el Chalten. They did a very good... More

Los Cerros sit prominently on top of hill overlooking the main street in El Chalten. Its dining room looks over the street and also gives you great views of the valley El Chalten sits in. Having breakfast while looking at the views makes waking up in the morning a lot easier. Their breakfast is average for Argentina; there's a standard... More

My husband and I stayed here for 4 nights on the half board plan. We stayed in a premium room on the top floor. The room was spacious. but it was strange to have the sink outside the bathroom. It was incredibly hot due to the unseasonal warm weather. We asked for a fan and was told there wasn't one.... More

Official Description (provided by the hotel)
The Hotel Los Cerros is located in El Chaltén at the feet of the most imposing mountains of Patagonia. Its large windows allow you to enjoy panoramic views of the valleys, lakes and mountains that surround this young Patagonian town founded in 1985.Lingering all day long in the hotel is really tempting but the rustic nature that surrounds it calls you to enjoy scores of activities in the land of the legendary Cerro Fitz Roy and the imposing Viedma glacier. The outings to the Lago del Desierto, to the base of the Fitz Roy, to the lake and to the glacier of the Cerro Torre are real musts to have a full picture of this region, where much still remains greatly undiscovered. ... more   less
