Looking for an amazing view, gorgeous surroundings, cosy and warm ambiance, friendly and efficient service? Aguas Arriba has it all. We stayed for 3 nights and had a really great time! Start your stay there with some trekking from Punta Sur to the lodge - I’m so glad we did it! We had lunch by the lake and enjoyed every... More

Aguas Arriba Lodge is simply stunning: it's setting, staff, ambiance, food and beverages, rooms, outlook and activities are terrific. It is located half way along a glacial lake (a glacier rumbles and grumbles on a hillside just across the narrow lake). The steep hillsides are shrouded in ancient southern beech old growth forests and the high snow capped mountains of... More

On a lake across from a mountain glacier with views of Mt Fitz Roy in the distance. The owners are caring and friendly as are all the staff. The food is amazing and plentiful. The fire is cozy. A beautiful lodge with picture windows. A place to relax, read, hike, observe, and breathe. We loved our stay there! One tip:... More

Aguas Arribas is a totaly unique place to stay. Not only is the location perfectly secluded, overlooking the beautiful lake and glacier, the interiors manage to combine style, simplicity and cosiness. From the moment you arrive and are greeted by the wonderful, warm, fascinating owners, Pata and Ivor, you are made to feel completely at home. All the staff ensure... More

If you have the opportunity this is a must stay. Having been to many remote locations in the world the Aguas Arriba Lodge is an outstanding place not only to stay but to visit, enjoy and to take in the magic of Patagonia. Pata and Ivor put their hearts and souls into creating a lodge and an atmosphere that would... More

From the moment we stepped off of the boat, Pato greeted us as if we were her best friends. The lodge is not only beautiful and in a beautiful wild setting, the guests that shared the experience with us were inclusive and we ended our visit feeling as though we were family. Pato & Ivor made our stay exceptional. The... More

This lodge is truly a standout in every way, from the gorgeous location on a lake opposite a glacier to the warm and friendly hosts and staff, comfortable surroundings and excellent food. Accessible only by boat, it is truly a place to unwind and enjoy life. Highly recommended. T and H, Sydney

There are plenty of nice hotels, some of them even in beautiful places. But a few of them have a soul. Aguas Arriba has it all: it's an amazing structure, nested in a magic place, with a lot of warmth and character. Every person working there is special and will make you feel the most welcome guest. If you are... More

Aguas Arriba Lodge was recommended to me by Steppes Travel; my brief to the agency was to see the mountains, do some trekking and fly fishing. Not knowing what to expect I was pleasantly surprised. From the moment of catching the boat to the Lodge to saying farewell to the owners, Ivor and Pato, and Clara, the resident guide, and... More

This lodge is truly in the middle of nowhere. There is hot water in a small window in the morning, and again in the evening. Light and electricity is out at 11pm. Although internet is advertised, note it is not wireless, nor dependable, and there is no cell reception (bliss). Food was very basic - we were served a basic... More
