We stayed there for 3 nights. It was quiet, central, comfy room with all the basic stuff. We could control the room's central heating ourselves so it was a plus. The breakfast was good. The hosteria offers wifi but nowhere works in El Chalten. The towels and bins are not changed daily but unless you are not pretending any frills... More

As long as you don't come to El Chalten expecting anything fancy, you'll be very happy you stayed here. The owner, Alexandra, is such a sweetheart. She works hard and all of the time during tourist season. She was a pleasure to talk to. I was warm and comfortable the entire time. Nothing in El Chalten has reliable internet, so... More

I spent two nights at this guesthouse as part of a tour and I found it a satisfying stay. El Chalten is a very small little village, so every place is close to the bus station (about 10 minutes away). The guesthouse had a large and attractive main area where the reception is located and which serves also as breakfast... More

Nice stay at the ñires. The staff is really nice, specially Alejandra! They will tell you everything you need to know about the walks. There s a laundry service for 60 pesos and breakfast is good. Not far from San Martin. They do have wifi but it s really slow because it s satellite.

First, Argentina has the costliest budget hotels I've ever seen-outside of Europe. There are few bargains to be had. The good: lovely hosts, helpful, kind; good location off the main street and very quiet; lovely view of Mt.Fitz Roy range; just across the street from a lovely cafe. Accomodations are basic. Heated towel racks-- great for towels but also for... More

My wife and I stayed here in Mid November. Even though it is a fairly simple establishment, it has a very warm feel to it and provides just about everything you will need in El Chalten. On top of that, the staff was extremely friendly and helpful. Alejandra, Diego, and Augustine gave good recommendations, booked tours for us, called places... More

This place was very quaint and the staff was very warm and helpful. There was a very homey feel to it. On a clear day, there is a beautiful view of Fitz Roy behind the hotel. It was also a good value. They did not take credit cards but not sure if that is only during low season.

Nice hotel to stay in el Chalten - large clean room, staff were friendly and helpful, good lunch pack ups for when you are trekking (cheaper than other places!) can't imagine there's a huge amount to choose from in this small town but thought we chose okay when we stayed here! Check out the chocolate place across the road!

I had the pleasure of visiting El Chalten in December 2013. The accommodations I enjoyed at Los Nires surpassed all of my needs and was an excellent value compared to the other options available in town. The staff in particular were incredibly nice and helpful in fulfilling any request. Their kindness and generosity were a highlight of my time spent... More

We were surprised when we got to Los Nires and had ordered a hostel dorm but basically got a private room with its own bathroom. It was simple but they provided the basics like towels, soap and shampoo and kept the place pretty clean. The kitchen was small and lacked a few important things (flipper) but we managed to make...
