We stayed here for 2 nights on February 2015 If you like trekking then in my opinion "El Chalten" is a must when traveling to Argentina, This is the base for some great walking trails and "Pudu Lodge" is a nice & friendly place to come back to after a long day of walking. Pros : -Friendly & helpful staff... More

Poor quality juices, cereals and bread at breakfast Rooms noting special. First room we were put in had a broken door handle. Lots of wear and tear Far from bus station but close to trail heads Friendly and helpful staff Not worth USD 100 per night

We had a great 4-night stay at the Pudu Lodge. It's well located for 2 of the 3 main trails but make sure you arrange transfers ($50 AR). It's a long way to walk from the coach station otherwise. It's on the main street within 5 or 10 minutes of most of the restaurants recommended in the guide books. Then... More

We picked this lodge because of its location to starting points for the treks and its modern high standard facility. Heated flooring in bathroom area is great on bare feet ! Has complementary breakfast from 7-10am. Box lunches can be ordered for treks, has laundry service. The lodge is at far end of town, so taxi needed from bus station... More

I stayed here for two nights in March 2014, booked through Say HueQue Tours in BA, to hike to Mount Fitz Roy. Hotel is a long walk from the bus station, at the far end of town near the trailhead for Mount Fitz Roy. The hotel is modern, and has a "not quite finished" feel to it. My room was... More

My wife and I are avid hikers and had dreamed about trekking in Patagonia. I looked online for a hotel in Chalten that caters to trekkers and found Pudu Lodge. We were not disappointed. The hotel is only a five minute walk from the trailheads of two mountains famous to climbers around the world, Monte Fitzroy and Cerro Torre. We... More

Pudu Lodge made my stay perfect: easy, comfortable and in direct touch with the patagonian nature! First, it is very close to the access to the most popular trekking routes such as "Laguna de los tres" y "Laguna Torre". It is 15 minute walk from the bus terminal and gives you the chance of crossing the town and see the... More

First point to note is that Pudu Lodge is the furthest hotel away from the bus station. With limited taxi service and dirt roads, this may present a challenge depending on your fitness and luggage. We walked it in 25 mins. On the other hand, being on the edge of town means the hotel is right at the foot of... More

Spent 4 nights over Christmas and were very happy with location, and the friendliness of the staff and owner. He gave us great information about trekking and basically organized our "trekking" schedule for us. Both young women who worked at the desk were great. The dining room is lovely with great views. Altogether we felt at home, very relaxing. I... More

Stayed one night with friends and we really liked this place. Rooms are nicely decorated and the staff was very nice and friendly. I was only expecting a nicer and home made breakfast, but it was plain without many options. Other than that, I really enjoyed my stay and will be back in the future.
