This is a wonderful hotel in El Chalten, located right by the start of the Fitz Roy hike. Everything in El Chalten is walkable (you are coming here to hike, right?). Great room & bathroom. Quiet. Great view into the valley right across the street (not from the room, but from the breakfast area). Free breakfast.

We stayed three nights at this hotel. The rooms are nice and quite. The staff, especially Maria, was very helpful in answering our questions. The hotel is located within walking distance to everything, and just about everyone walks around the town. One day they had some trouble with the water system and we had cold showers, but they fixed it after... More

This has been the best hotel in over 2 months in South America! It is like an alpine chalet in design, the rooms are very spacious and the beds are sooooo comfortable. Duvets and mattress toppers - 3 superb nights sleep. Just what you need after a tough days hiking. The showers are really powerful and the water is super... More

Originally we have planned to spend 3 nights in Chalten in Poincenot but the city had its charm and the tours are beautiful so we decided to stay one more night. The staff was extremely kind, always available, both english and spanish speaking, always helped us with all the things we needed. The hotel is very nice, modern and clean,... More

I stayed there for 4 nights in the middle of March and it was great. Everyone was very nice and helpful, the rooms were big and comfortable, the breakfast was very rich and varied. I really recommend it!

We got a great deal on this hotel as it is owned by the same owners as the hostel next door. We booked a private double room in the hostel through booking.com only to be redirected here when we arrived. We had expected a basic hostel room and got instead, one with a tv, en-suite and brekkie included. As it... More

It would be a lie to say, that Hotel Poincenot has a nice, cozy atmosphere that makes you want to hang out in the lobby and have a beer or to. You go to other places in town for that - and luckily there are plenty to choose from. But the prices for a room is pretty fair (75 US$... More

We made reservations for this hotel for April 2014 in September 2013. The room was prepaid. The hotel sent an email saying they have charged our credit card and that the reservation is confirmed. On the night we reached El Chalten (around 8PM), we had some difficulty finding the hotel. After traversing the streets for 15-20 minutes, one good Samaritan... More

We spent three nights at this hotel and loved every minute of it. I booked on booking.com and it worked like a charm. The hotel is clean, charming, and in a great location. The staff is very friendly and helpful. They provided good hiking tips and ideas on where to get the best pictures. The rooms had DirecTV, comfortable beds,... More

This was a really good, clean hotel with nice rooms. It is a little far from the centre of the sprawling El Chalten, but it is very close to the excellent La Mure restaurant and the start of the northern treks. I would stay here again, but be advised, the WiFi is so slow it is almost unusable for anything... More
