This place is owned by chalten travel-so don't leave the bus on a terminal, if you're traveling with them from el Calafate! It spares you a 20min walk :) Place is crowdy, but clean! Kitchen is always available but bring your own gear to cook in or else you might wait awhile to be able to cook. Wi-Fi is a... More

The hostel has great potential but they restrict the cook utensils and for the amount of people there is not enough space for food storage of cooking - they are trying to make you buy food from the onsite restaurant. They had large groups of Israelis which took over all communal spaces - the staff did not attempt to ask... More

It's a great hostel to stay in el chalten. The best staff ever. There is one guy named Francoo in the staff who's speaking very good English and always wants to help in any problem you have. One of the best guy I've ever met.

This should be a pretty good hostel- but the horrible dirty kitchen - poorly stocked, no utensils, no matches, no washing up liquid- let it down. On some mornings there were piles of dirty pans because no one could actually wash their things up. The sink was always blocked, so it was full of dirty water. To add this, whenever... More

My friend and I stayed here for a total of 5 nights and whilst the showers and dorms (standard mattresses which are sunk in the middle) were clean, the same can not be said for the kitchen. It is such a shame as there are actually two reasonably sized kitchens (one on the upper and one on the lower level.)... More

Accepted recommendation of ChaltenTravel to stay here after informed our first choice hotel in El Chaten was "not available". Noisy basic youth hostel accommodations, albeit some rooms have small private baths. Poorly staffed restaurant trying to serve hostel guests as well as ChaltenTravel bus patrons. Disappointed to learn later Chalten Travel owns this property.

Stayed in chalten in winter so this was one of the only hostels open at the time. The staff were friendly enough and the rooms were clean and corfortable apart from a mildly unpleasent smell which we couldnt identify. Has a big but poorly equipped kitchen for cooking and an averge and overpriced restaurant on the bottom floor. Wifi is... More

Average lodging but one of the few which are open during the Winter months. The hostel is owned by Chalten Travel and is the first stop for the bus, so it's handy in the way that you don't have to wait in the open till the bus arrives. It's also located right next to mountain trails so it's quite a... More

I stayed here for 2 nights in an ensuite double room for single use. There are dormitory room for 4 people with shared toilet in this hostel as well. This hostel is about 0.75-1 KM (10-15 min walk) from the main bus terminal. The receptionist is cheerful and helpful. My ensuite room was well maintained, clean and tidy. The hostel... More

I'll keep this short and to the point. 1. The showers are disgusting. 2. No towels to rent. Ever. 3. Maids spray sheets with febreeze. Doesn't make me trust the cleanliness at all. 4. The kitchen is filthy and not sanitary in any way. This is a marketing ploy: it is to make you eat at the restaurant in the... More
