Wow, for a place in the hospitality industry the person answering the phone was far from hospitable. We called just to attempt making a reservation and the person on the phones was the rudest I've ever spoken with. I asked for availability for new years and he said there was a two night minimum, which is different than what is... More

Overpriced & dirty. The water smelled & i doubt it was drinkable (wish we had known that as we would have brought our own). The shower curtain was disgusting as was the tub and shower. The curtain was full of mold from pink to black. We complained when we checked out and no offer was made to even offer a... More

We stayed there one night across the road from the lake. We had a deck, BBQ, fire pit, jacuzzi tub and access to a canoe. It was a nice spot! The cottage needed a good cleaning though, our dog had a feast under the bed before we realized how dirty it was under there. The bedrooms smelled musty and we... More

It cost a friend and I almost 400$ for one night, but it seemed pretty nice upon our arrival. We had a hot tub, trampoline, mini beachfront, we pretty much stayed outside the entire time enjoying the nice day/evening. In the morning we cleaned up, locked the hot tub/canoe, literally did everything from putting dishes in the dishwasher, new chlorine... More

We went for a weekend away and were extremely disappointed. When we walked in, the cottage stunk, which we realized later was the water. Every time the water was turned on, the entire cottage would stink of eggs. We couldn't wash our hands, shower, clean the dishes, cook with the water or make coffee. When we complained they told us... More

We stayed at Captains Cottage. The living room was comfortable. We had to clean some things in the kitchen but overall it was nice. The bathroom was almost spotless. The best part was the location (gorgeous) and having access to a canoe (life jackets and paddles were provided in the cupboard). However, we had to strip the linens and take... More

We recently went on a girls weekend away trip (like we do every year). We were a large crew and wanted to stay close by so we rented 2 cottages right beside each other. We are not super girley girls and don't mind roughing it and little dirt. We arrived to a very musty smelling cottage. Our phone was broken... More

My son and I have stayed at the "Birds Nest" lakefront cottage for the past 3 years.I agree with one of the reviews that the website pics don't reflect the reality-but the cottage we stayed in was lovely-clean and comfortable, plenty of supplies in the kitchen, and lots of clean linen.Lovely king bed,but the pull out couch was pretty uncomfortable. No dead mice,no...
