Had an amazing afternoon tea here with my sister in law. Love the fact that you select what sandwiches you prefer and you know you're going to enjoy every mouthful. The cakes are lovely, and portion sizes huge. The scones ... OMG! Out of this world. Not only are they huge they were served warm. My mouth is watering now... More

Had brilliant service last week after slight mix up with room booking - staff could not have been more helpful or more keen to sort out our situation - really impressed with their professionalism. Aslo lovely accommodation (comfortable, clean, fresh and spacious) and perfect (LARGE!) breakfast. Had everything you could want. Seriously recommended by our party of four - thank... More

My father and I stayed here on our trip to Wales awhile back and im just now getting around to writing about it. our experience was amazing from the staff to the food. this is the most quintessential welsh town and i cannot wait to take my future children here one day. the sleeping was ok, pub down the road... I stayed here for 2 nights with my husband during the 2015 Green Man Festival at Glanusk Park. After camping for 2 nights previously, I would have probably given a 5-star rating to a tin shed with a bucket in the corner, but this rating is very well-deserved! The staff were extremely friendly and welcoming without being intrusive, and allowed... More

We visited on a Friday evening celebrating my birthday. The visit clashed with the green man festival, this event typically brings crowds to Crickhowell. The restaurant was busy but service was not compromised at all. The staff were attentive, receptive and extremely helpful. The starters were served in good time and the following courses followed at appropriate pace. The cooking... More

We visited The Dragon in August to visit the lovely Crickhowell and stayed for 2 nights. First impressions of this place were excellent. The room was lovely. Really beautiful. Lovely large bathroom, massive bed and the room was a good size too. However the room was above the courtyard to the rear, directly above the kitchen and the window was... More

From the warm welcome to the beautiful family room, through to the lovely food at supper and breakfast, we had a great stay here. The inn staff are superb, especially Georgie, who was polite and friendly. Our family room was excellent and well equipped. We would love to return again.

Our room, which was located in the courtyard building, was clean, well appointed but really quite small. Had booked a superior double through the hotel's website but am not quite sure if all superior double rooms are that small. At the time of booking also requested a bottle of prosecco on arrival which was not there waiting for us and... More

I live in Crickhowell and occasional dine with family and friends at the Dragon Inn. My cousin visited us on 2nd July Thursday and we decided to take advandage of The Dragon Inn steak night, we all chose a the rump steak with chunky chips, that can only be described excellent. The staff who I know, are very nice and... More

A business lunch for 2 people: menu not very imaginative - standard pub grub with just a couple of nods to its Welsh location. We both had the bog standard 4oz burger with very chunky fries, washed down with a glass of Merlot. The food was tasty enough, but nothing special. The service was good, however, and that is all...
