A simply charming inn, think old beams, low ceilings and log fires. A very full menu with first class food offered. The staff are lovely, very helpful. The atmosphere is cosy. We called in for the first time for lunch, man large family of us too celebrate the announcement of a marriage, mane it was such a romantic place to do that.... More

I cannot say enough good about this place. Everything was perfect! Firstly, the staff was incredibly helpful and professional. We stayed as a family (3 adults) ftom 28 Dec-2Jan. We had a family room for three nights and then were moved to a double/single as the family room was previously booked. The family room had plenty of space, extremely comfy... More

Staying overnight tonight and already so well impressed with this hotel/inn that we are planning to come back for longer. Rooms are highly satisfactorily with recent refurbishment evident. Not all have en suite so check in advance. Crickhowell is the most original of towns with no supermarkets and some very original and characterful shops, hotels and restaurants. Love this place!

Hello, many thanks for your review and kind words. I am very glad you enjoyed your stay and do hope you return as you mentioned. Just to say all 15 of our rooms we have do have en-suite facilities so please don't worry about this when choosing a room if you are looking to book again. Regards Gareth. More

This was a lovely hotel and restaurant. We were kindly upgraded to a superior room because the Owner saw I had difficulty with the stairs so gave us a lovely room on a lower level. The Room was tastefully decorated and very comfortable. Despite the weather we had a lovely stay.

We booked in last minute and they kindly gave us a really good price for a room in the building in the garden. It was even better than we'd hoped for, spacious, balcony onto the grass, chocolates on the pillow and a massive breakfast. The only reason we couldn't put a 5 is that the building is surrounded by the... More

We stayed at this lovely place to watch the Rugby for the weekend. All the staff were very polite and went out of their way to meet our needs. The room we had was very spacious, more than enough for a family of four. The menu was stunning and full of choice, I had the local venison steak as recommended... More

Absolutely superb food. Lovely surroundings. Even though it was a busy time in the bar with Wales playing rugby the food was beautiful and very lovely presentation. We thoroughly enjoyed the meal and will definitely return to sample more of the stunning menu

Ate here for three nights - starters and mains were excellent, desserts ok but not to the same high standard. Service was quick and staff extremely personable and friendly. I thought it was very good value.
