Nice pleasant rooms, exciting access to the parking. In the main building the top floor is not well suited to a 2 metre son, but he coped without any unintended unconsciousness. Floors (and bed apparently) quaintly sloped. Nice and clean, well looked after, most things felt new. Food at breakfast was good - buffet cold stuff and the hot stuff... More

We popped in for food while we were staying in the area, we were made feel welcome, we were the first in there but soon joined by others it was a warm and cosy place for a cold evening, food was great, Made it a lovely evening with an evening singer in the back ground

I stayed in room 17 which was next to 16 shown in the picture on their website "superior double" a pretty recently refurbed room located in what looks to be and old coaching block a few metres behind the pub. The hotel has a good size garden with views of a castle ruin. Parking is accessed via a narrow entrance... More

I have travelled all over Britain this year and the Dragon Inn is my favourite restaurant, not just good food but the staff go the extra mile, to make you feel special. This is my third visit this year and very happy to recommend Dragon Inn.

We came here to attend a wedding. The hotel is old but has been completely refurbished. Beds were massive, comfortable with new duvets. Room was bright and furnished with renovated items reflecting the oak beams. bathroom was spotless with proper bath sized towels. TV, tea and coffee making facilities, hair drier, safe and a fan provided. Downside for us was... More

Visited the Dragon a on Sunday. The service was slow and the food mediocre. The situation was only improved by the rather begrudgingly given complementary drink. The main bar was buzzing but the side dining room cool in temperature and atmosphere. Shame as it looked like a great place from the street.

Stayed in Crickhowell for business reasons, loved the Dragon Inn. The staff are so friendly and welcoming. Food was excellent, I'm not much of a breakfast person but the dinner was delicious and good value. My room was small but well equipped and the bed was really comfortable. Will definitely stay again if I go back.

My wife & I - both seniors- have been touring England & Wales & found a gem in Crickhowell in the Brecons. A small pink pub with really helpful & obliging staff, great food (try the greasingham duck & the Martello cherries or rice pudding desert), with comfy beds & quality linen.

We enjoyed Crickhowell so much last year we booked a return visit with a change of venue. The Dragon is being renovated and the work did not spoil our enjoyment of a lovely old building. From other reviews we were careful to try and not squeak the floorboards but in No 12 it was impossible. Our dog was accommodated in... More

I booked in here because I couldn't find any vacancies in Talybont where I was weekending (even at this time of year, the whole area seemed to be heavily booked). What a lovely surprise. Coming from the car park, I was courteously directed to reception by someone (turned out to be the manager) just exiting the kitchen. His attitude was... More
