We tried lunch in the Dragon yesterday having eaten there in the past I must say that the change over the last few months is impressive under the new management structure. The best part of the recent changes has to be the appointment of the chef who should be extremely proud of the change around and new direction of the... More

We stayed here over the May bank holiday weekend and had a great time. We had a large room, with a lovely bathroom, a well stocked tea tray, nice toiletries and plenty of storage space. The breakfast was of fantastic quality, and we were given the option of a traditional or a Welsh cooked breakfast. The staff and manager were... More

Popped in here on a rather chilly March evening with the missus and had a reasonably priced round of drinks before heading for some fish and chips nearby. The ale was tasty from a clean line and reasonably priced. It was fairly quiet on the evening we went but the place still had a good feel to it. Definitely worth... More

very poor decor, dirty bathroom, bedroom had no heating on when arriving even tho minus 1 out side told to turn thermostat up. Having paid £170 for 2 for 2 nights for a superior bedroom was over priced felt like asking for money back. Meal in the evening was lovely, but breakfast felt like had just been warmed up apart... We came across this hotel with the deliberate intention of finding somewhere warm and comfortable to spend the night. We were booked to stay somewhere else just outside Crickhowell but only managed one night there because it was so cold. We vowed not to spend another night there even though we'd paid up front for it. So it was with... More

We have very mixed feelings about our stay here. We stayed for one night, booked on the day, and was told it was the last room available. The staff were very friendly, and the breakfast was brilliant. But reading some of the other reviews i think we stayed in a different hotel! We were in room one, the bed was... More

Last week my wife and I stayed 4 nights at the Dragon Inn in Crickhowell. We went to Crickhowell to do walks in the nearby landscape, and to escape the snow and ice in Norway for some days. We did not bring a car, so our walks were all centered round the village. We found the scenery and possibilities for... More
