Went here for a hen weekend, as part of a group of 9. Beautiful secluded location, distance from the neighbouring site is far enough to not have to worry about noise levels. Tipi's are spacious and tastefully decorated. The owner is lovely, she acted as a taxi driver for me on the Friday night and picked me up from the... More

This place was absolutely fantastic. I spent 4 nights here with my family including my parents aged 79 and 66. We stayed in the wapi tipi and a bell tent (sleeps up to 6 in each) and had our own meadow. Everything we needed was thought of, even condiments in the fabulous kitchen area. The children had the best time... More

Just returned from a Hen weekend, six of us in total, and we are all still raving about it - and probably will for a good while to come! This is real glamping - a perfect little retreat. The Tipi itself was comfortable and easily accommodated all six of us, and we thoroughly enjoyed being so cut off - no... More

I've just got back from a Birthday weekend with 3 other friends. Our ages range from 23-30 and we were all nervous about how we would react and cope in the middle of the mountains, no mobile phone signal, no televisions, no electricity. I think all 4 of us can confidently say it was an AMAZING weekend. We have not... More

A 50th birthday surprise, leaving the kids with family. I couldn't fault it and was a perfect way to relax and unwind with my wife. Very private and quiet and the tipi is sooooooooo cosy inside. best nights sleep I've had in ages. I can't recommend this highly enough. All of the facilities are spot on. We took advantage of... I've just come back from spending 3 heavenly days at the Black Mountains Tipi Retreat. From the the minute you arrive, you're warmly greeted by the lovely owner. Nothing is too much trouble and all the stresses and strains of everyday life vanish from the minute you arrive. We were there to celebrate my friend's Hen weekend. We wanted to... More

Myself and my boyfriend had the most amazing time at black mountain retreat. Steve and Jilly were a fantastic couple - very helpful each day on assisting with our exploring destinations!! The facilities have all been incredibly well thought out and all the little touches are lovely. The location is just about as remote as it gets....the only thing overlooking... More

We, as an older couple, had a superb three nights here in the tipi. We were lucky to have the super summer of course, but it would still have been great. We never used the car whilst there and just walked for the two whole days. The "set up" of the place is spot on and the hosts are the... More

I went there with my father and 2 brothers as a father and sons bonding weekend to celebrate dad's 75th birthday. It wad perfect for access onto the mountain tops and it was good not to have to see or hear a road, only the relaxing trickle of the stream in the background. The shower wad nice and hot (although... We stayed for 2 nights in the Yuma meadow Tipi, and it was so much better than expected! Jilly and Steve are a great couple, really friendly and helpful without being overbearing. The set up was fabulous with a well stocked kitchen full of utensils, a hammock, the swing and the bathroom arrangements were great too. The shower was really... More
