This was our first stop in our two week visit to Wales, and what a great introduction. The house is beautifully decorated, and the owners are very friendly and helpful. We stayed in the Sugar Loaf room, which was a large room with a comfortable double bed. It has a large bathroom with an excellent shower. There is a little... More

I booked this bed and breakfast after seeing glowing reviews, and after staying here I totally agree! Our stay here cannot be described as anything less than perfect. Alison and Julian are lovely hosts, and although when staying at any establishment you would be described as 'guests', here we really did feel like we were guests in their beautiful home.... More

OK - I must declare an interest. Alison and Julian are friends. But our experience was consistent with all other TripAdvisor reviews. I would expect nothing less than the highest standards of hospitality from Alison and Julian, and they did not disappoint. Everything was brilliant, from the accommodation to the breakfast, and of course the genuine warm welcome offered by... More

Thank you Alison and Julian for a fantastic nights stay. We stayed in the smallest room in the B&B and it wasn't small at all - it was positively spacious including a large bathroom, sofa, big bed etc. Julian gave us tea and cake on arrival and we enjoyed reading newspapers and magazines which were in abundance. In the morning... More

It's usually possible to find something wrong when you're staying away from home, no matter how small a niggle. This lovely B and B breaks the rule here. It's run by two people whose entire mission seems to be to make you feel welcome, comfortable, well-fed and rested. It astonishes me that something in this price range can offer so... More

A beautiful house, a warm welcome, a superb location, the highest standards of comfort, quality and cleanliness & a fantastic breakfast. Thank you to Alison & Julian for... More

Glan y Dwr exceeded all our expectations during a three night stay. From the moment of arrival until departure, nothing was too much trouble for hosts Julian and Alison. Such attention to detail with tea and homemade cake served upon arrival, a lovely touch. Wonderfully comfortable and immaculately clean, spacious accommodation. All followed by the most delicious breakfast I have... More

Not often accommodation comes up to scratch, let alone being above expectation, but Glan y Dwr is a very special place. Brilliant value for money, spotlessly clean room in a charming house, and charming and attentive hosts. Good local pub(s) within 5 minutes walk. Make this your first choice for B&B Crickhowell. Thank you to Julian and Alison for looking... More

Two night stay as art of a tour of the UK and certainly got us off on the right foot. Lovely big room, nicely furnished and very comfortable. Great hosts and an excellent breakfast with fresh fruits, cereals and great cooked options. We hope to return in the future.
