Having had a very enjoyable Sunday lunch a couple of weeks previously in their refurbished dining room we enquired about and then booked the B&B on the basis of the friendly staff and great location (alongside the Usk). However the room itself was pretty appalling: overwhelming smell from 4 plug-in air-freshners, clothes left in the wardrobe and pants in the... More

2 of us stayed in the Inn's accommodation and had a superb time of it. We fished a few spots on the Usk, although not the stretch bang outside the Inn as we'd arranged other places to be, so were out and about most of the time. That said, the time spent back at base was very pleasant - friendly... More

We have just returned from a 3 night stay at the Bridge End Inn. Apart from the beautiful location overlooking the river Usk, the food and hospitality was first class. We had a double room with en suite, the bedroom was a good size and the bathroom was huge. We would definitely return to the Bridge End Inn because there... More

30 of us descended on the Bridge End Inn on a Rugby international day and I have to say the welcome we received was brilliant .Obviously keen to keep us there for the duration of the game, the landlord, Howard reserved a room for us to watch the game and provided us with a few plates of sandwiches for half... We visited here whilst on a canal boat holiday. it certainly is a nice location and attractive pub. Of interest we had one person 'who could not walk the distance from the canal and we hired a local cab £8.00 each way. I found the trout as I expected although others in our group were not so happy with their... More

I went here today with my beautiful son..we walked through the graveyard, had to climb down a huge bank as we were lost and stumbled upon this pub. Loved the setting, little garden with tables overlooking the river, quaint and picturesque...no idea what the food was like but if you want to wile away a few hours with a jug... More

Pop in here with some family members after a long day of walking during the Easter weekend for a drink and a bit to eat, to start with the landlord repeatably ignored us until what I presume was his wife came along, she was rude and unhelpful. During our time in the bar I over heard the landlord telling a... More

It was a Saturday night and there were only us and two other customers. My partner had a beef pie with sauté potatoes, the top of the pie (which can be bought in packs of four) wasn't cooked and raw in the middle, there were about five small extremely well done potatoes, not good enough especially as we paid good...
