Went to the bridge for Sunday lunch, lovely home cooked meal with lots of choices for the traditional lunch. Busy little pub by the beautiful river, owners so friendly and welcoming. Very quick efficient service and the waitresses were very well presented. Home cooked puddings too! Would not go any where else now when we visit the lovely Wales.

A poor selection of light meals for lunch, so I selected a Pate starter. A slab of Ardennes pate served with a one cool piece of brown toast and 2 frozen packs of butter. No garnish. Coffee in a tiny cup. All very '70s Pokey toilets with a light sensor which goes off mid-stream ! Small garden overlooking the river... More

This place was full of character and Characters! We spent two nights here, our room and ensuite were huge! and delightfully decorated and at a very reasonable price. The breakfast was very good as was the dinner that we had there. The atmosphere of an early evening drink was great, the locals who call in for a drink were all... More

This Inn is superb. Great hospitality and a wonderful welcome. We stayed for food and weren't disappointed, ever so tasty. Hats off to the chef. I had lamb shank and my husband had t-bone steak, we both think we had the best meal ever.

I called here for a drink whilst walking in the area. The pub is located adjacent to a bridge over the river and has lovely views. Internally it is a little quirky but the staff were helpful and obliging. It is cosy and compact. Well worth a visit.

We booked a table for 13 to eat at 7.30pm and waited more than 2 hours for our food whilst several other later arriving smaller groups were prioritised over us. When I asked the landlord why this was happening he explained that the other diners had booked their table 3 days ahead (whereas we had only booked 1 day in... More

popped in to this picturesque pub on the river for a well earned refreshment after a long walk with the dog. Half the beer garden had seating which was full, so we stood on the empty grassed area until someone politely moved and made room for us. Can't understand why there are not more picnic tables to accommodate guests, when... More

Having had a very enjoyable Sunday lunch a couple of weeks previously in their refurbished dining room we enquired about and then booked the B&B on the basis of the friendly staff and great location (alongside the Usk). However the room itself was pretty appalling: overwhelming smell from 4 plug-in air-freshners, clothes left in the wardrobe and pants in the... More

2 of us stayed in the Inn's accommodation and had a superb time of it. We fished a few spots on the Usk, although not the stretch bang outside the Inn as we'd arranged other places to be, so were out and about most of the time. That said, the time spent back at base was very pleasant - friendly... More
