I stayed here with my sister and friend for 3 nights in mid May. We had a lovely stay. Due to traffic from London to Wales, we arrived extremely late, close to midnight. We kept Brian informed of this and worried about our late arrival. However, Brian was ever so kind to wait up for us and to simply excuse... More

We found Gwyn Deri by chance and we are very glad we did! What a lovely, warm, homely place. We arrived at 6.30pm after having an afternoon tea with our friends and were very warmly greeted by Kathy and Brian. They showed us to our lovely, warm, exceptionally clean room. There was fresh fruit, shortbread and enough supplies to make... More

What a lovely B & B! From the moment we arrived, Kathy and Brian were delightful and friendly (even though I arrived later than planned!) The house and rooms are spotless, comfortable and warm with lovely views. The breakfast was delicious - the best I can remember having at a B&B - and they even offered to entertain my 5... More

At a week walking tour in Wales we lodge in a number of B&B’s and all were positive experiences but none came close to Gwyn Deri - it was outstanding. Light, spacious, clean and comfortable room - friendly, attentive and extreme helpful host – delicious breakfast – very reasonable price. Five stars right across the board. We would definitely recommend... More

Crickhowell is an utterly charming town, and Brian and Kathy were the perfect hosts. They welcomed me with tea and cake in the pretty garden, and, since I was without a car (a bit tricky in Crickhowell, but not impossible), they went above and beyond and gave me a few rides. The room was very comfortable, with nice views of... More

We had an excellent stay, and the owners could not have done more to make our stay any better. The town of Crickhowell is a great little place, especially the Bear Hotel Bar & Restaurant. I would highly recommend this to other walkers.

My husband booked 2 nights as a treat for our Ruby wedding. We arrived earlier than planned and asked if we could leave the car and have a walk whilst waiting for our room. However we were given coffee and cake in the beautiful garden instead. The kindness continued with chilled prosecco as a toast for our anniversary. Our room... More

Very warm welcome where owners Kathy & Brian sat chatting with us having tea in their lovely garden when we arrived. This was not all intrusive & they both really interesting people to talk to. Lovely home and very clean, with lots of personal touches in the rooms, such a bowl of fruit & plenty of sachets for hot drinks.... More
