This was recommended to us as the accommodation at the Royal Welsh Showground was fully booked. We were not disappointed: friendly, great location, comfortable clean rooms and a generous breakfast. And extremely good value - in fact, cheap compared to most B&B's! We would definitely recommend this and plan to stay there again next year.

We were in Builth Wells for a car club event and 35 of us went to the Greyhound for a Saturday night meal. The service was very friendly and the food was well prepared, locally sourced and fresh. It was also very reasonably priced and the bar prices were excellent. Good home cooking in a pleasant atmosphere

8 blokes on a golfing tour and went back here every night for great food, drink, friendliness & hospitality. 5 star ! Excellent centre to explore surrounding countryside. Ideal for sports, walking, cycling.

Booked in by a friend. It is what it is.... value for money rooms in a convenient location. Beds are comfy and bedding is clean and tidy. Decor is tired (think 1980's wall paper and borders) peeling paint and squirley carpets.... plumbing to be expected in an old building -- ie noisy! Door to room locked from inside but we... More

Very convenient for the Showground and with adequate parking. Bar very friendly and comfortable for a get together, most people were sat outside on a beautiful evening. Room on second floor which meant quite a few stairs, as no lift, and only view from window was of chimneys and walls. That said the room was very clean and had all... More

This is a great place to be based for exploring the area. The food is exceptional, the beer is reasonably priced and the rooms clean and comfortable. The staff are very friendly, Ali is a gem who is a great advert for Welsh tourism.

V good hotel for a weekend of golf, as part of the heart of wales golf break, good sized rooms, with en suites, full Welsh breakfast, v friendly staff, evening meals plentiful, central heating too high for my choice, but u can't have everything, well stocked bar, not so when we left!

Been visiting Builth Wells many times over the years. Family live local. When there were too many people staying with my Aunt I booked in here instead. The room was immaculate. Very clean and tidy. Bathroom very clean as well. I had eaten here the previous week at a buffett lunch and the food was good pub standard. I have... More

We stayed here for one night in March and it was very nice. The staff were friendly and the room we stayed in was huge! We ate in the restaurant which offered the usual pub grub. The chips were a little under cooked but other than that it was fine. The bar itself was heaving with locals who were all... More
