This hotel has still not completed renovation. My party was given rooms in the oldest section. My room was in the basement (which flooded during a rainstorm); it smelled musty and had electric wires stapled to the ceiling. There was nowhere to plug anything in. There was NO HOT WATER because, by the end of the 2nd day, we were... More

Arrived in the evening ready for sisters funeral next day to be told that they couldn't find our booking but not to worry as they wouldn't just throw us out?? finally got given keys to room. The room was pleasant except for the bathroom where every time you flushed the toilet the room would fill with a putrid smell from... More

My son and I stayed here this week. Thankfully it was only 1 night. We arrived to find a tired looking building with a coach blocking the car park. Once we got past there were two old cars dumped in the car park. Not good. We checked into a damp stained, very tired room with cracked bath. The beds were... More

Unkempt, litter strewn allover! Debris surrounded reception (in front and behind..) The reception area clearly had not seen a hoover in quite a while! The stairs leading to the first floor were just the same (and most horizontal surfaces were dusty) I had the misfortune of staying in room 12...... The beds had clean linen and pillow cases....thankfully.... Thats about... More

Building is great but reception area needs updating and sorting as not sure where to go on arrival. When you have figured out where to go, finding a member of staff is nearly impossible, espically during the evening. Food during the evening is very poor and the breakfast, well where shall I start. Think again before having a 'full welsh'.... More

I was lucky enough to stay at the Commodore Hotel for a weekend visit with friends, with fantastic views and friendly staff the Commodore provided a truly memorable stay. Warmly welcomed from start to end the service we received was exceptional, with many thanks to Darren. As for food we were treated to a delicious and well priced menu, a... More

The Commodore Hotel is a wonderful hotel. Accommodating for 35 members of our staff on a recent staff training and development event by providing us with rooms to sleep, the ballroom for training and the restaurant for meals and evening activities. The staff – especially the manager and manageress - were accommodating and friendly, and provided us with refreshments throughout... More

We stayed in the Commodore with friends travelling around Wales on a short driving break. The welcome we received at check-in was unfriendly. Our room was on the top floor and smelled of paint, presumably as it had been recently redecorated. There was only one person running reception and the bar. There was a strong smell of gas in the...
