we arrived with a coach party of people who were retired and some with disabilities we were met on arrival by the manageress and found the reception very helpful and pleasant in they went out of their way to be of assistance. our room (two of us) was quite roomy with two windows giving plenty of light in the room... more

The website picture showed a double bed with purple duvet set, the reality was a bedspread over a duvet, which had a white top sheet, therefore they change the sheet but not the duvet, so you can be sitting on a bedspread & duvet cover that countless other people have sat on, possibly naked....YUK!! The carpet has huge lumps in,... more

Stepping into this hotel was like stepping back into the 70's - rude reception staff, dirty bath and shower curtain, very uncomfortable bed (definitely been there since the 70's), old fashioned furniture, dirty windows, radiator that sounded like it was about to explode and smallest television I've ever seen! Breakfast was a rushed affair as I'd been told I HAD... more

This hotel has seen better days and is need need of a total overhaul and refurbishment. The rooms are very dated and the beds uncomfortable. The highlight of the rooms has got to be the push button 12" TV's that look as though they are a prototype for the early colour TV's. The bathrooms are from the 1970's as is... more

This is possibly the most depressing hotel I've stayed in in the UK Despite my room being in what looked like the most recently built bit of the hotel, the room was awful. Bathroom was dirty, the toilet seat falling off the bowl, black mould around the bath, the shower attachment falling to bits. A small single bed, an old... more

I found the manager completely obnoxious. He really should not be providing a public service. He was not what I would call professional more

I stayed for one night on a business trip in November. Thankfully it was on expenses as I would not part with my money for this place! The website says rooms decorated to a 'Very High Standard'. Well I'd hate to see their low standard. It was terrible. The bathroom was disgusting with black mould round the bath/shower. The toilet... more
