Had Sunday lunch here and it was very average. Wouldn't go back. Not much better than your average microwave meal. Sticky tables and a general poor standard of cleanliness. Obviously loved by some as it was busy. Service was fine.

There was no mention on the Inn's website of live music on Friday and Saturday nights that goes onto at least midnight - 2am the night we stayed. The bass and drum rhythms reverberated through our bed and ruined our night's sleep. Our room was very small and anyone over 5'8" couldn't stand upright in the bath for a shower... More

24 of us booked to have lunch and we were treated to there recently refurbished restaurant.......lovely. Unfortunately that was the only bit of the meal that was good. We were verbally abused by the managaress and the chef as they refused to accept constructive critism of the main course of the meal. What a shame as we are local people... More

We recent y visited this inn, two nights in a row, while staying in a nearby hotel. We didn't have a meal here, only drinks, but the meals that we saw looked really good and the menu was very reasonable. We didn't eat here because meals were included in our hotel stay. It's a charming pub with lots of oak... More

We were attending the Welsh kennel Club show in Builth Wells and we were looking for 2 rooms in the local area where we were able to bring dogs into the rooms with us, I couldnt believe how many people who run B&B in this area won't allow you to do this. Anyway this hotel was recommended to us and... More

We found this pub/restaurant courtesy of the doggie pubs website while looking for somewhere to eat which would allow us to take our black lab Bailey in with us. On arrival my husband popped in first just to check and yes, all was fine we could sit anywhere in the pub. On entering I wondered if the food would be... More

I've never stayed at the Llanerch, but being local, I've eaten there on and off over the years, and drank there on a 'few' occasions. This 16th Century pub could probably do with (another) refurb, but I can only assume that planning rules would stop that, because all of the owners over the years have failed to do anything about... Tried to eat here twice, as the chef informed us that the previous burnt offering was prepared by another member of staff on his day off HOWEVER his standards were not much better! All supposedly fresh but tasted like cheap prepacked food, the menu does not reflect what is given to you on your plate, items substituted or missing. The... More

On arrival we had to wait at the bar to check in. The young lady who dealt with us was very friendly and efficient but appeared to be the only member of staff on the premises. We were shown to room number 3 on the top floor. The room was basic with few facilities - apart from tea/coffee equipment and... More
