Highland Moores was easy to find on the way to Llandrindod Wells. The building towers above those nearby and if you look at the photo on the website you will instantly recognise it from the road from Built Wells. We stayed one night in Room 14. A room with superb views across the fields. The welcome by hotelier Sue was... More

Only one night spent here. Warm, comfortable, spacious, friendly & clean. This was a great family run guest house with the children taking their part in serving us at breakfast. Good views from the large bedrooms. Short walk into town for restaurants.

This former spa hotel is being rescued by its enthusiastic owners who have created a nice B&B, which offers spacious rooms, great views, ample parking including for bikes, and good breakfast. The town centre with a choice of restaurants is about 15 minutes walk away (pavement all the way).

Arrived at end of a hard day's cycling with a group of older riders, warm welcome and the lovely lady running things had the radiators on (in July)- a good Welsh welcome. The Guest House has a chequered history as a school, convent and childrens' home; the rooms are huge with great views and it is 0.9 miles from the... More

I hope that you will indulge me for this review as I did not actually stay here. My wife and I visited Highland Moors after I emailed Sue asking if it would be possible to to have a look around their Guesthouse on our way to visit North Wales, even though we would not be staying there. When I explained... More

Came here with business and spent 2 nights. Hated having to walk the length of the hotel to my bathroom, and then had to contend with no toilet paper and most disappointing of all, absolutely no hot water. Second morning still no hot water, was told it was because too many residents had wanted showers that morning (I showered at... More

Yes, we understand how frustrating running out of hot water can be. We have moved the time for water coming on to 5am now to ensure when it is run off for baths in the evening, with so many early showers from 6am, enough is available for everyone. We have 2 state of the art smart tanks one at the... More

My husband and I have just enjoyed a two night stay here. The hotel is spacious, interesting and very homely, our room was large and airy and we slept very well as the beds were extremely comfortable. We particularly liked the high ceilings and the big windows with far reaching views. The bathroom was nice with a lovely large shower... More

Stayed here for one night recently to attend the Royal Welsh Showground which was a 10 minute drive away. We were given a free upgrade to a room with an ensuite which was nice as we had paid a very reasonable price for a basic room. The beds were comfortable and the room was clean. Breakfast was included and was... More

I booked a room at Highland Moors because it was fairly local to a Wool show i was attending in Builth Wells at the Welsh Royal Showground. It turned out to be very well situated, being only about a 10 minute drive away. We arrived dead on check in time at midday, by chance, and we had to wait a... More
