A B@B that ticks all the boxes for me. A beautiful house set in lovely grounds. A friendly welcome with cake and tea on our arrival. A comfortable and well equipped room. We were walking a section of the coast path and Geoff kindly gave us a lift to the path. We left our car and picked it up a... More

We have just spent three nights staying with Gaye & Geoff at Cyfn-y-Dre. Were made so welcome and our lovely room had everything you could wish for. We opted for dinner each night and all three nights we had delicious meals. Out hosts were also most helpful over places to visit. We hope we can go again some time.

On arrival we had a lovely cup of tea and a piece of cake that Gaye had baked, the cake was delightful and so were our rooms and the peaceful surroundings, the breakfast offered a wonderful selection, it would be one of the best B&B we have stayed in.

Just returned from a great weekend in Fishguard staying at the Cefn y Dre. The hosts, Gaye and Geoff were great, nothing was too much trouble. The house was beautiful, with lovely gardens. Our room (we had the Gallery room) was amazing! One of the best we have ever stayed in and that includes 4 star hotels. The bed was... More

Gaye and Geoff made us very welcome, their hosting skills and excellent breakfasts were second to none. After our long journey we were made very welcome and Gaye offered us tea and cake which was most welcome. The house is full of history and is set in beautiful, large gardens. We stayed two nights in the Gallery room which was... More

We stayed a couple of nights over the Easter break. Gaye and Geoff were ideal hosts, and the level of comfort was supreme. A romantic few nights for the two of us. Breakfast offers a great selection (with the Camarthenshire ham particularly interesting). Couldn't fault it. We will return!

We recommend Cefn-y-Dre everybody who is looking for an authentic B+B on the countryside with a delicious breakfast consisting of a great selection of different Welsh (and even one Indian) dishes. Staying at Gaye’s and Geoff’s house feels like travelling back to the Victorian times: The couple did an amazing job in renovating this old farm house and making that... More

Cefn Y Dre is the perfect place to be returning to after a day exploring the coast path - we toast peacefully in front of the wood-burner; later step across the hall for dinner - planned with imagination, cooked with flair and served with elegance. Later a beautiful bedroom (& a very comfortable bed) await; breakfast lives up to expectations!... More

From the moment we stepped in the front door we felt at home. Geoff made us coffee and had just baked a lovely cake. The bedroom and bathroom was beautifully decorated. The bed ever so comfortable, best night sleep. The bedroom was lovely overlooking the front garden. The breakfast was good. Not real easy to find, would help to have... More

You wonder what you're getting into as you drive up ever narrower lanes and through the gates, then are confronted by a lovely, restored country home. And it gets even better inside. The rooms are sympathetically decorated and walls hung with Gaye's great taste in art; even the furniture is just so appropriate. Our room was sumptuous, the bed hugely... More
