Excellent hotel we have stayed here twice now and both times the service was of a great standard the staff are all very friendly and willing to help. We stayed in the four poster turret room with the seaview on both these occasions and the room was always clean well presented and the views are stunning. The breakfast was lovely... More

This is a really interesting place to stay. It's a Victorian castle and when you arrive they will give you a little tour and tell you a bit about it. We had a room with a sea view and it was wonderful being able to lie in bed and see the sea, and even hear it with the windows open.... More

Stayed for 2 days in rainy october. Met by wonderful hosts. Room ok but needs upgrade ... Carpet in the bathroom yuk !! Comfortable bed. Location is ok but not close to town. Disappointed as not an actual castle. A little history to the place though. Great view of the sea and cardigan bay if you look past the caravan... More

My partner and I chose to stay at the Ty'r Craig castle just for one night, after a weekend in Snowdonia, and were very surprised at the hotels charm. The views from our room over Cardigan bay were outstanding, and we thoroughly enjoyed our stay there. Just one sour note was the very small en suite, and the shower decided... More

Hello Russ C, it's lovely to hear that you enjoyed a pleasant end to your weekend getaway. It is a charming building, as you've noticed. We agree some rooms here do have very small en-suites. This is due to space limitations when converting this old Victorian summer house into guest accommodation. There are rooms with larger en-suites and should you... More

i booked a weekend away for myself and my husband for his birthday, and what a delightful place we discovered when we checked in. I have to say we have stayed in many hotels but never one with such character and charm. The owners were charming and nothing was to much trouble, and the staff were polite and attentive, service... Thoroughly enjoyed our stay, and would definitely visit again. Service was personable, friendly and helpful throughout. Ty’r Craig is a fantastic piece of Victoriana, warm and homely, with some great original features such as the decorative tiled floors, stained glass windows and wooden staircase. The room and en-suite was comfortable and spacious enough. It is true that the sea view... More

A seaside hotel with towers inevitably prompts memories of that very funny TV sitcom. When I complained to the owner's wife that her chef had flatly refused a request from a member of my foursome for some fried bread to go with his breakfast bacon and egg, she replied "Well you see, he's from Romania". As the website explains, there... More

We chose Ty'r Graig from Unusual Places to Stay. We stayed two nights in a clean and comfortable, well furnished twin room. Our bathroom was compact but comfortable with one of the best hotel (over bath) showers I've experienced. Plenty of hot water available! We were greeted in the beautiful panelled reception hall and then given a potted history and... More

We stayed here 3 weeks ago on a voucher from 'Unique Places to Stay'. When I phoned to book I was told the bathrooms were small, and after discussing different rooms decided to pay for an upgrade. On arrival we had a tour of the ground floor which was interesting from an enthusiastic member of staff. Here the positive comments... More

Dear Val159, sorry you didn't enjoy your stay. In the interest of correctness, the size of the bed in your room is 6'3" long and 4'6" wide which is the standard size of a double bed in the UK. Your 1-night stay actually cost you £20 as that was the cost of upgrading to the standard turret room with your... More
