Hotel was comfortably decorated in a nice country house style, impeccably clean & very well managed. We were made to feel welcome and the hotel has a very relaxed holiday atmosphere. Breakfast was well cooked, good coffee and helpful staff. Residents bar was well stocked and after a stroll back from town, it was lovely to sink into comfy chairs... More

I would agree with many of the positive comments in recent reviews; the location, history and decoration of the hotel, the welcome, the friendliness of the staff etc. Prior to booking I noted the comments about the size of the bathrooms in the turret rooms; ours was certainly small. Also I would agree about the breakfasts which were well organised... More

Dear nomis01, thank you for your feedback. We’re pleased that you appreciated the same positive aspects of the hotel as with the majority of our guests. It is difficult to cater to everyone’s needs but here, we always try to accommodate as much as we reasonably can. On this occasion we did offer some flexibility and were happy to have... More

You dont have a conventional hotel stay at Ty craig - you book in and the owner gives you a guided tour - and history of the building. There are some beautiful focal points within the hotel such as minton floors and stained glass windows and lovely ceilings and wood panelling - quite lovely. The rooms are not large but... More

Dear franny2009, so nice to hear that you had a lovely experience here. Our restaurant is a popular dining venue so we're glad that you enjoyed your meals. We are all friendly here but with guests who are equally as friendly as you and your husband, it makes what comes naturally to us that much more easier! More

The food here is very good. Excellent views, especially the glorious sunsets. Room was very comfortable, but the Turret bathroom was a bit small. The owners are always helpful and willing. We would definitely recommend Ty'r Graig Castle.

Great location with sea views over the Bay. Victorian Mansion built by a Birmingham Gunmaker. Super stained glass , floor tiles and plaster work. Good clean rooms, en-siute a bit on the small side, but did the job well enough. Friendly and helpfull staff. Bus stop outside the Hotel to Barmouth or Harlech.-useful if you are going Walking. Dear robertjrossonwye, We're pleased that you had a positive stay here. Indeed, the sea views over the Bay was one of the primary reasons why the Greeners chose this spot for their summer house back in 1892. Glad to know that you found our staff friendly and helpful as we put alot of effort in making sure that our guests... More

My wife and I stayed for just two nights in a standard double in a turret room. The owners and staff were all very friendly and attentive. We felt so relaxed and looked after while we were there.
