We found this hotel through the visitor information center in Cardigan. Cardigan is a lovely town but we wanted to relax for the day. A five minute drive from the center of town is the Cliff Hotel sitting on the cliffs of Cardigan over looking the sea. The Cliff house is a historical hotel with a lot of charm. The... more

We hoped to spend a few days at the Cliffe, use it as a base to see the Pembrookshire coast. But, one night was enough. The reception staff were 'surly' and when we asked to see a room, the duty manager had to try four rooms till he found one that was serviced and it was 3.30pm. The room looked... more

Didn't stay. Visited one evening aiming to eat one night during the week. Unwelcoming response telling us how busy they were, and we could eat in the bar ......... down there (pointing down a corridor). Visited bar and tried to explain why we were there - assumed language problem but apparnetly not. Emailed hotel a couple of times, pointing out... more

We were at first given a room on its own up some stairs in the old part of the building. Room was small - not a lot bigger than the bed itself which was I suspect a three quarter bed. The bed itself creaked as you sat on it. There was a small toilet and shower with a sliding door... more

We have just come back from staying at the cliffe hotel, the hotel has wonderful views, but the housekeeping is poor, the area around the window was dirty, we had no tea in the room and no hand towels in the rooms. also there was bits on the floor around the bed. It's a shame because this hotel could be... more

The location and seaview from room was fantastic and bar meals were generous. However, standards of housekeeping let it down and service not great either. The outdoor pool is not operating, which was disappointing and they do not allow children to use the spa pool other than between 12 and 2. I also expected a higher level of comfort in... more

My wife and I stayed here during our honeymoon as a gift from some friends and had an awesome time. The spa is a must do as is the restaurant. The full breakfast every morning was awesome. Only wished they'd had lefted golf clubs to rent so I could have played the course! more

Knew I would be staying here, and came onto Trip Advisor and was then petrified as to what I would find when I arrived! However, apart from the disappointing room I had, I need not have worried. Unlike some of the commentators on here, I found the staff to be very helpful, and pleasant at all times. The food was... more

On the plus side, the hotel is in a scenic location, and the food in the restaurant is quite good. Although, our culinary experience could have improved by not having to see seagull droppings on the windows. On the negative side, the outdoor pool was broken and the elevator( which we needed) worked part of the time. We chose the hotel... more

I stayed at the hotel earlier this year and had a lovely room in the new part of the hotel, well worth the £85 per night. When I returned I requested a room in the same part of the hotel but was told there were none available and as I was a guest at a wedding that I HAD to... more
