Myself and my girlfriend decided to go there following excellent reviews and to be fair we arrived to a nice hotel. The staff bizarrely didn't know where our room was. Anyway the room was pretty good, once found, very clean and tidy. The views across the Teifi estuary were fabulous and we enjoyed the drinks on the terrace. The first... More

The best thing about dining at The Gwbert Hotel, is the view over the Teifi Estuary from the bar restaurant and open air terrace. The car park isn't very big, and customers seemed to prefer on road parking or car sharing. The worst was the coffee which was far from being hot, followed by the lack of mixed seating in... More

The place looked nice though a little in need of a freshen up ! we ordered and was taken to our table , that's when it all got a little disappointing my salmon was dry overcooked , the veg was so over cooked they looked like they had been cooked the... We visited with our 8 week old baby & when I booked I requested a room with enough space for our crib to go next to the bed & if possible a sea view. When we arrived we were shown to room 6, there was no way we could get the crib next to the bed. The room was also... More

We stayed here for one night on our wedding anniversary, the room was very spacious and comfortable with a beautiful sea view, we were disappointed with cardigan town, it looked very run down and the "quaint market" we saw online looked more like a dungeon, but this is a review for the hotel and we were very pleased with it,... Well worth spending a little more and booking the suite for a special occasion. View was superb although could be a little noisy as above the terrace. Ate in the bistro which was good. Wine prices were very reasonable. Not a huge amount to do in Gwbert but pleasant walks.

Having never explored southern/mid Wales before we chose the Cardigan area as it had a reputation of being picturesque. Previous reviews steered us towards this hotel; we were not disappointed. The hotel is situated in a small village a few miles away form Cardigan, itself a delightful small town with some character. The views from the hotel are wonderful; the... More

Lovely location overlooking the estuary and very good restaurant. However, avoid rooms 7 and 8 as they are small and our night was disturbed by noise from the large extractor fan outside the window. We would go back but only if we upgraded to better room.

This is the best hotel in Wales even if the cliff is next door. The cliff was an absolute disgrace it was dirty and under construction. The gwbert is fab or bendigedig I felt Ar Ben y byd On top of the world. If you are staying there you will find a small coast guard station which is in front... More

I was staying at the cliff just up the road from this hotel. Have been here twice now for evening meals and yes the staff are very friendly but the amount of time you have to wait for food is quite disappointing. We booked a table for 8pm and wasn't seated till past 8.30pm and the starters still took a... More
