WE booked this as a short get away with friends, with a little trepidation as it is YEARS since I have visited Gwbert. Didn't need to worry. Welcome:- Friendly and efficient, a real treat to be treated like a person, rather than an inconvenience. Rooms:- Neat. Clean and comfortable, what more could you ask?????? Well I suppose you could expect... More

I've eaten at the Gwbert Hotel's Flatrock restaurant more times than I care to remember and have never had a bad experience. The reception area is welcoming with a relaxing little area to the left if you fancy somewhere a bit quieter than the bar to enjoy your drinks with friends and family. The bar area is comfortable and the... More

We just used a kgb deal here & we're very glad we did. Food was excellent & good value. Locals eat here which speaks volumes. The spa at the sister hotel is a lovely bonus. Staff and service were great and we upgraded to a suite as a treat. Thoroughly recommended. Only dislike was the pillows. Any pillow you can... More

We love it here.Great views and a perfect location for golfers and walkers. With its connection to its sister hotel 100 yards away giving you access to lovely spa facilities makes it well worth a visit. The food is excellent and reasonably priced, the staff are allways helpfull and the hotel rooms are smallish but as clean as you would expect from any... I have stopped at this hotel before and I have always gave it a very good write up,because it as always been excellent. We recently stopped here again, and I feel it only right to say good things and bad things to give a fair report.Always pay the extra if you can for the sea view, because the location of this hotel is... I am a regular business traveller to Cardiganshire but unfortunately for me the hotels I normally use were booked up. I chose the Gwbert Hotel therefore on the strength of its star rating. I won't be using this place again though for the following reasons. I was allocated Room number 6 and on arrival the room was cold which was... More

Dear Sir Thank you for your review, I was the manager you spoke to at 5am and understandably you were annoyed but my point was if you had mentioned it last night we could have resolved it for you especially as you arrived at your room and it was cold. When I got to your room I ran the tap... More

After a very long drive, I arrived at the hotel and it certainly was worth the drive. 1st class service from the moment I arrived until I checked out. Food was excellent value and room was just right for me. Excellent wifi service and to top it off stunning views. It's a shame its a business trip as I would... More

On arrival at the hotel there was no one at reception but after using the phone a pleasant young man arrived this did not really feel like a warm welcome. The open area to the side of reception was full of boxes and looked rather untidy, there was also an led light fitting on the landing which was constantly flickering... More

We stayed at the Gwbert Hotel in October 2014. My wife and I found the hotel to be of excellent value, clean and situated in an amazing location. The food and ales are excellent and the hotel is situated in an area of South West Wales that allows you to use this as a central focal point for further travels... More

We used this hotel as a base for a short golf break, and found that it surpassed our expectations in every way. The Bistro which is attached to the hotel serves a supurb choice of excellent food, and the breakfasts are to die for. Try the smoked Braddock with scrambled eggs. Right on the estuary mouth, with great views over... More
