Just booked up again so thought i'd let everyone know how great this B&B is! Visited the Isle of Mull June of 2015 and stayed at Smithy House B&B. The couple Carol and Peter were excellent with the kids and made us feel so relaxed and comfortable very quickly! The view from our room over the lake was superb. The... More

This is a small and very personal B&B with charming hosts, Peter and Carol. It is located in Pennyghael on the road to Fionnphort in an idyllic location with views over a beautiful loch! The two small bedrooms were very comfortable and quiet. The generous Scottish breakfasts each day were fantastic. Thank you Peter and Carol for your helpful and... More

Stopped over on our way back from Iona. Beautiful rooms - wonderful bathroom (decor) - breath-taking sunset on the loch - warm welcome - delicious breakfast. I would recommend this B&B wholeheartedly!

We (including our wee dog) were made to feel extremely welcome at Smithy House. The setting is perfect, right on the loch with ducks and chickens running around. The hosts were very friendly and accommodating and the food was amazing. Home made scones and cakes galore and the full Scottish breakfast was the best ever. I'm now hooked on Stornaway... More

Lovely setting right by the loch, nothing too much trouble. Great freshly cooked breakfast and unlimited fruit and scones available to take out for lunchtime snack ( if you can manage one after such a big breakfast ) didn't have evening meal as didn't know what time we would be returning in the evenings. Plenty of books and dvds available... More

After visiting here regularly for over 10 years I've finally created an account and thought I'd write a review about my favourite, most scenic, home away from home. Carol and Peter have been blessed with a small piece of heaven on there doorstep. Situated just over an ancient bridge, yards away from Loch Scrhidian and with a view of the... More

Staying at this welcoming accommodation was a delight - a very warm and cosy bedroom with beautiful views of the Great Northern Divers in the loch. Excellent food, both at breakfast and for the evening meals. A great place to stay!
