Despite our trip being sadly cut short due to two storms.... We loved the cottage and can't wait to return. Rhoda was so friendly and helpful, and the cottage is a perfect romantic hideaway. The views are amazing, and the welcome hamper was a lovely touch. We will be back!

what do you want when you visit Harris? Stunning, white-sand beaches, usually deserted? A selection is visible, walkable and driveable from here. Wild coastal scenery? Choose your enormous picture window and enjoy. Eagles? Travel a short distance, or wait: your choice. The freshest seafood? Local langoustines and the largest scallops I have ever eaten - hand-dived, of course - delivered... More

This is luxury relaxation. You don't need to leave the cottage but the beautiful views and great wildlife is too good to miss. We had lazy lay ins, long walks (often in the rain) then warmed up back at the cottage with a sauna then jacuzzi bath. The luxury Molton Brown products, fluffy towels and thick robes add to the... We arrived at Blue Reef at night time so didn't know what the view was like until we opened the curtains in the morning...wow! We had extremely high expectations and these were not only met, but were also exceeded. This is a perfect cottage in the perfect location. The kitchen has absolutely everything you would ever need or want -... More

Unique rock house overlooking one of Scotland's most beautiful beaches with huge windows allowing us to watch the ever-changing light & colours. The house was superbly and tastefully equipped with everything we could possibly want or need, warm and comfortable after long days out and the bonus of a sauna & jacuzzi were greatly appreciated on wet days. We stayed in Taigh Iain which is one of two cottages that look from the outside to be some form of ancient monument, on the inside however they're modern, comfortable and very well equipped a perfect place to rest and watch the weather in the bay change by the hour. Spectacular views of the bay (almost Mediterranean in it's look).... More

It's what all the other people said. Fully equipped wonderful views. It's booked for 7 days the sheets don't changed neither the towels. The whole cottage wasn't that clean. But it has all that you need. I think it's very expensive for what it is.

We have thought about visiting this place for years but never had the time to make the journey. That all changed when we both retired and off we went to the Outer Hebrides for the first time and were blown away with Harris in particular and then we arrived at the Blue Reef Cottages to be met by Rhoda who... Even though it was February (with gale force winds) when we stayed we had a fantastic week at Blue Reef. The cottages are truly 5* from the quality of the accommodation to the attention to detail to make sure we had an enjoyable stay. The views are breathtaking and the days fly-by just sitting and looking at the views. We... More

From the warm welcome to Bollinger in the spa bath this house with the spectacular views from every window is a couples dream come true. We truly enjoyed the wild Scottish weather from behind glass and in front of the peat fire. We saw porpoise in the bay beside the cottage and an eagle overhead near Tarbet. Excellent local food...
