We chose the Muir of Ord region as a stop-over point on a Scottish road trip, as it was convenient and close to great places like the lovely village of Beauly and (beautiful) Glen Affric. We therefore came across Carndaisy House somewhat by chance but left feeling like we'd fallen on our feet! Carndaisy was absolutely fabulous and proved a... More

Lovely B&B, Great Service and very Friendly Hosts. Excellent Breakfast. Altogether a fantastic nights stay. Will definitely be booking again soon as it is in an ideal location for travelling around the Highlands.

We stayed for 3 nights in the family room. With its own French doors to an outside patio. This room looked out to a beautiful open view over fields with cattle, an idyllic setting. We had originally booked for 2 nights but enjoyed the setting so much we added an extra night. We met a German family and also an... More

Stayed here on route back from a 10 day tour of Scotland. Stayed in the family room which had 1 double and 2 singles. What a lovely room. All you could ask for, and a lovely view out onto open fields. Not within walking distance for evening meal, but only a 10 minute drive to town. Both Dougie and Linda... More

We could not have chosen a better place to start our honeymoon in Scotland. Having travelled up from London to Inverness via the sleeper train, we were looking for somewhere quiet and romantic. We hit the bullseye by coming to Carndaisy House. Both Dougie and Linda are excellent hosts - warm, friendly, and where nothing was too much bother. We... More

Excellent room and location. We stayed at another Bed & Breakfast the night before and was very disappointed. Almost didn't book this room because of 5hat experience but were very happy we did. Better than a hotel and nice country location.

A little off the beaten path, but lovely and relaxing, Carndaisy was the perfect retreat for an overnight stay at the pretty Muir of Ord on our way back from Skye. And Linda was a wonderful host - warm, friendly and very efficient. Carndaisy is set facing lush country fields, and there's a very pretty sit out to enjoy the... More

Another lovely stay at this quiet and relaxing B and B. On arrival you are made to feel so welcome. The room is to a high standard and very clean. The breakfasts are amazing! Our family has allergies and intolerances and these were all discussed again on arrival and catered for throughout our week stay. A really lovely touch was... More

Often I work away and regularly stay in brand hotels so I know what i am getting. However I booked late and the cairndaisy was well priced so reluctantly I booked. I can honestly say it was a delight from even before I arrived. A gentleman on the phone who couldn't have been more helpful even prior to arriving. The... More

This is delightful place run by an attentive and friendly couple. The rooms are spacious and very clean with an excellent ensuite. The breakfast was one of the best I have had at a B&B, hot, fresh and plenty of it. We enjoyed a glass of wine in the conservatory while we mapped out our plans for the following day.... More
