Cathie & Ian made my 5 day stay with them brilliant. Fantastic breakfasts and clean. Brilliant local knowledge of the area. And places to see and eat at. Wonderful rural setting, very close to Inverness, loch Lomond , loch Katrine and wilderness.

We stayed for 2 nights at this B&B in the ensuite room. The welcome was very warm and so was the room. There was homemade shortbread, all kinds of tea, and there was also coffee. It was our first B&B in Scotland and everything was excellent. Comfortable beds, a spacious bathroom, it was just paradise!! It was also a swell breakfast... More

My mother and I recently went to Scotland for 10 days and stayed at four bed and breakfast's while there. This was the nicest. The owner Cathy is the sweetest lady and so helpful. They don't have dinner there, only breakfast, but she had lots of information to help us find a place to eat. And it's not too bad... More

This is the standard by which all B&B's should be judged. You name it it was in the room for your use. Even a sewing kit. Tea, coffee, shortbread. When I laid eyes on the hosts I just wanted to hug her, very grandmotherly.

Our stay with Cathy and Ian was wonderful, they go out of their way to welcome you into their home. The rooms are warm, very comfortable and spotlessly clean, the breakfast is delicious and there is a choice to suit everyone, the home baking in the evening is a delight. We would recommend roadside croft to anyone visiting this lovely area... More

It was our second visit at the Roadside Croft and it felt like coming home in a foreign country. It is always a great pleasur to meet Cathie and Ian. Since our last visit in 2006 we've found a lot of improvements. Especially the new toilet en suite in the front room is very useful - small but really good... More

The roadside croft is a lovely place, easy to find, especially by navigation and information given by the voucher we had. Very warm welcome with plenty of refreshments and cookies to keep you going for a while. Clean, spaceous rooms with clean shower and bathroom plus shower gels and the like! The attention you get from Cathy makes you feel... More

The Roadside Croft was a great place to stay in the Inverness area. Cathie, is a sweet hostess and makes a breakfast that will keep you going until dinner. The room was cozy and clean and Cathie was more than happy to advice us on a place to eat dinner and any travel advice we needed. Just a short drive... More

For Scottish hospitality and friendliness this B&B wins my vote for top honors! Cathie MacLennan is a fabulous cook and surprised us upon arrival by serving tea and a sampling of baked goods (Scottish pancakes with raspberry jam and 4 other types of goodies on a lovely tray!) that were incredibly delicious and filling. We had arrived at about 4:00... More
