I was not sure what to expect as I chose this hotel more for convenience than anything thing else. There is a very long driveway and I wasn't sure the GPS had taken me to the correct place then you turn the last corner and there is this amazing old house and lovely woodland gardens with 2 Labradors on the... We stayed here for one night and it was absolutely blissful! The room was very large, the bed comfy and everything very clean. As we arrived early I had the time to unwind and read a book in the yard near the pond before dinner. It was so peaceful and I regretted immediately that we only booked for one night.... More

Stayed June 21 en route to Skye, found this place on Booking.com and glad we did. Oozes character and the owners are lovely, as are the two dogs. The room we had was advertised as a 'small room', it was anything but with acres of space and a lovely historic feel, exactly country house, which is what it is. We... More

When we arrived, we didn't quite know what to expect, John the owner sainted up to us, almost as if he wasn't expecting us! We were a little concerned! Three hours later, we were well into the whiskey bottle and having a great time. Yes the hotel is 350 years old...so don't expect new flash rooms. Do expect nice clean... More

My group had just returned from 3 nights hiking across the Highlands. We managed to shower and change at our bunkhouse (some 15 miles west) but there was no breakfast on offer so we went in search of a cafe and distillery tour before our return flight. We stumbled across this beautiful hotel and we were given an incredible breakfast... More

This hotel , with the rooms, grounds and delicious food was a truly relaxing and restful place to stay. Totally enjoyable and felt like we were lost back in time with hosts who really cared about their guests. David and I shared a really lovely 7 days in this charming 17th century house.

The building is old approx... 300yrs i think or older and its beginning to look a bit tired , my room was huge and very comfortable with a big... More

We arrived and were greeted by a very friendly dog (we love that). We had 2 rooms - Mull and Jura. Both were mid-sized and up to date. The owners and staff were extremely friendly and chatted with us a lot. Dinner was very good. The dining room was bright and the tables were well spaced. Our favorites were: pasta... More

We have just recently returned from a one night stay with friends at this warm and very welcome ing hotel, how we wished we had stayed longer!! The owners, Eliza and John were great!!
