We had a double room in the 'annexe' which is actually the converted garage! Good use of the space we thought :-) The room was good with comfortable bed and, like the shower room, was spotlessly clean. We felt the decor and en-suite were a bit dated though. However, the staff were lovely and the breakfast was good.

This was our second stay here, returning after last year, which should say it all, we wouldn't go back if it wasn't excellent, Clean, quiet and very comfortable, good breakfast and the staff are so friendly and helpful, nothing is too much trouble, Thank you for another delightful stay Manfred and see you next year.

Lots of B and B's in Ullapool but chosen because of good reviews and excellent location provided you can get either rooms 1 or 2 to take advantage of the loch views. £75 double ensuite very good value.

I enjoyed my stay in Ullapool and staying at this B&B, a short walk from the center of Ullapool on a quiet street across from the Loch where ferries to Hebrides travel. Room was clean, bed was comfortable, bathroom was huge, was very quiet. Will definitely stay when in Ullapool in the future.

Thank you Manfred for making us feel very welcome in your beautiful B&B!!! We were on our honeymoon, and had a GORGEOUS view of the loch out of our bedroom window!! The room we were in was HUGE, comfortable, and, the best part-still used the old skeleton style keys/locks!!! We were made to feel very welcome by Manfred. Breakfast was... More

Its hard to think that I have been coming to this guest house for more than twenty years. This really is a family business with all the warmth that such places have. The owner Mr Peukert, in the 1970s & 80s use to own and run the legendary and sadly missed Far Isles restaurant in the village. Old hacks like... More

We were made to feel very welcome and very much enjoyed our short stay here. We had a lovely room and ate a fantastic Scottish breakfast whilst over looking the sea. The house is very comfortable and nothing seemed like too much trouble. Thank you

We needed nothing more at The Old Surgery. Manfred made us very welcome on our arrival and proudly escorted us past his many family photographs. He showed us to our room, a front room overlooking the loch that was big and comfortable with a good en-suite bathroom. It was a room to settle in to. Breakfast was as much as... More

Charming and welcoming place right on the waterfront. Felt like an old-time B&B with family photos everywhere and everything in good condition but not replaced if it was still serviceable. Some nice original joinery work and door handles. Breakfast was one of the best I've had anywhere. Cooked with care, with every component delicious and beautifully cooked, really excellent B&B...
