B&B in Scotland doesn't get better than this. The rooms are tasteful and comfortable and two sitting rooms with woodburning stoves mean you are not enclosed. One huge bonus is a very well equipped kitchen and small dining room with view to the hills which mean you don't have to go out for a meal. Breakfasts are superb and Ed... More

Definitely the place to stay! Ed and Wendy are friendly and very welcoming, their rooms are comfortable and cosy, and breakfast is absolutely delicious. Good starting point to explore the Highlands, go for peaceful walks.

Lovely looking property on arrival and we were greeted with a really warm welcome. Nothing was too much trouble for Ed and Wendy who were both great hosts. They were really knowledgeable about not only the local area but also places to see on our onward journey. Breakfast was superb, fresh ingredients which were all cooked to perfection and plenty... We cannot find enough superlatives to describe Braemore Square and the fantastic hosts Ed and Wendy. We stayed for five nights and were made extremely welcome, a lovely log burner in the guest lounge made for a cosy environment in very mixed weather. The breakfast selection was amazing, a huge selection of fresh fruit, cereals, yoghurts and also an amazing... More

We have stayed here three times now. We had an last-minute emergency stopover last week when our ferry from Ullapool was cancelled when we were en route, so we headed for Braemore Square. A warm welcome, literally, awaited us, with a wood-buring stove lit for us in the guest lounge. Thanks to Wendy and Ed for another great night's stay and... More

I stayed for one night in the beginning of December. I was on a trip by myself through the Scottish highland and had found this B&B on the internet beforehand. I'm really happy I found it, really enjoyed my stay. Next time I go I would like to go in the summer so there's longer days to explore the area.... More

We needed a place to stay and didin't fancy driving from Durness to Plockton quickly. The reviews looked good for Braemore. We had trouble contacting the owners several times, initially to try to book a room (5 or 6 calls) and on arrival too. We were waiting for ten minutes before even getting an acknowledgement. Even then, we had to... More

We don't normally respond to entries, but we pride ourselves on our welcome, service and hospitality and we were so saddened by this entry, we feel compelled to comment. In respect of the comment, that they had to ring 5/6 times, before we answered, clearly we were not in. We have an answering machine and ask callers to leave a... More

My partner and I Stayed with Wendy and Ed recently and we had a wonderful stay at this cozy and inviting property. Wendy has really thought about the small little touches which made our stay feel homely, such as the heated blanket on the bed and the fluffy towels. The breakfasts were enormous and set us up for the day,... More

We spent a week at Braemore, Ed and Wendy are wonderful and great hosts. We arrived to a roaring fire in The Coach House, a spacious apt, warm welcome and a wonderful baked loaf from Wendy, absolutely delicious for breakfast. Staying self-catering, we had everything that was needed in the well-equiped kitchen, big comfy bed, washing machine and dry room... More

Wendy and Ed are wonderful hosts for their exceptional bed and breakfast. Ed has made Braemore Square a beautiful building and was glad to share with us all that he does on their acreage with their pigs, sheep, chickens, and bees. Wendy has made it a wonderful home that is warm and cozy, very welcoming and inviting. Everything was very... More
