It's clear that the owners are looking to develop the Ferry Boat Inn into something better than the average, but currently the product doesn't deserve the price premium over it's neighbours. I stayed a single night in a single room, and to be honest, the room was roomier than many singles I've used. It was clean and warm, and the... More

Friendly staff and pub goers: Relaxed atmosphere; helpful staff; good duke box; comfortable seats; nice ambience; great beer. Good outlook, inside and out. Convenient & accommodating. The only thing wrong with this review is you expect too much to be written - I will not be so willing to write reviews..sorry

I had high hopes for the ferry boat inn, but was sadly dissapointed. Now it's clean, plenty of room and close to the facilities. But a £120 a night (excluding breakfast and a dedicated car parking) its simply a tourist rate for a popular spot, but as long as you know that then it is what it is The main... More

We visited the ferry Boat Inn in January, which had a VisitScotland 3 star plaque on the door, which i thought would be safe for some decent pub food before our journey back home. We ordered a salmon sandwich, a ploughmans, 1 portion of chips and 2 soft drinks. it took over 40 minutes for the food to arrive. the... More

As a big fan of TA reviews, I was a bit reluctant to book this place. But I wanted to stay near the sea, for some sunset photo opportunities. Boy I was positively surprised by room #2. Its design, although not to everybody taste, was a hit for us. Very clean, very classical, very warm due to colors used. Big... More

Had a great few nights in this hotel. The rooms were good with a fantastic water view which was magical. Staff were efficient and friendly. Food was good and the bar was good but the service was a bit slow. Great location in a lovely little town.

Stopped overnight in Ullapool and had lunch in the Ferry Boat inn and must say the lunch was the best in a long week of traveling. Special of that day was the Sea food chowder not cheap at £8 but I must say the very best chowder ever tasted! general service was excellent to by the bar staff.............well done

We stayed two nights at the FBI. I like the typical pub, and this one has a taste of authenticity. The room overlooking the loch was so very simple and nice, very clean, and excellent value. The bathroom is really small, though, with a simple shower system and a mini washbasin. The view was great, with a few boats, the... More
