This B&B wasn't our original first choice, however, upon arrival, we were pleasantly surprised. The rooms were of reasonable size, clean and had decent bathrooms. Breakfast was very good with locally sourced food. The B&B is in a quiet area of Ullapool, but it's less than 10 minutes walk to the centre of town and loch shore. There's a small... more

My partner and I stayed here during a 2 week holiday round Scotland. The B&B was simple and very clean. Our room was perfect with a spotless bathroom. It was really good value, we had stayed at much more expensive places along the way that were no where near as nice as the Riverside. The owner was such a lovely... more

Having stayed in half a dozen places in Scotland during our travels I’d have to say that Riverside was probably our least favourite. Not that it was awful by any means, I think we were just fortunate enough to have stayed in some fantastic places elsewhere and this was the least good. The owner was friendly and offered advice on... more

I appreciate you have taken time to write a review on riverside, though we are disappointed it did not meet your expectations. We are constantly looking to upgrade a take note of your comments for future improvements. All breakfasts are cooked on our "AGA", perhaps the scrambled egg a little too hasty that morning & it's a pity the "award...

Ullapool was' fully booked' (second week of August 2009), so i was well pleased to have booked the last night (off the Stornoway ferry) in advance. Riverside is in a quiet road, and is in appearance and feel more like a small hotel. The en-suite was spotless, good shower, lots of towels. TV and tea-making in room. Breakfast room large,... more

The owner explained where to go for a good meal and also had menuss from the alternative places to make a decision. We were to Lady motor bikers and obviously had luggage this was kept for us the next morning while we explored Ullapoool... more

Just returned from Riverside and cannot recommend highly enough. Made to feel welcome from the minute we checked in, rooms lovely, breakfasts well cooked and plenty of choice and Charlie could not do enough to ensure we got the best out of our stay with him. Excellent value for money and will definitely use again when we return more

My single 'en suite' was exactly what I wanted and far better than I had expected - and an absolute bargain compared to the other establishments we stayed at during the week. It was well maintained, well furnished and immaculate. A really nice touch was providing the menus of local bars and restaraunts in the guests lounge (where you could... more
