Just dropped in for a drink and to check out the folk night. What a great night we had. The atmosphere was great and the local folk singers and musicians were fantastic. Wish it wasn't so far away. I would become a regular.

Stayed here on the 9th of October 14 to see a band playing in Ullapool. We were in room 8. The hotel seemed quite old fashioned but I think this was in keeping with the building itself. The room was clean, bed was comfy, good view over the harbour to the mountains beyond, wifi reception was patchy in our room... More

We booked two rooms, two nights, with private bath for our 40th Wedding Anniversary. Second room had a private bath but it was across and along a corridor from the room. Not a safe environment for our single female, especially since no one checks whether people going upstairs are actually guests. She had drunken men trying to get into her... More

A prime example of under investment. Our room was dirty and dated. The toilet seat was hanging off and no one did anything about it. The shower was filthy. There were bare wires on the ceiling light fitting, and the curtains dated back to the 60"s (cheap dark brown nylon imitation velvet) YUK. The proprietors were away on holiday spending... More

This, I agree, is a slightly unfair review. We checked into this...........hotel, and then checked back out again. Our room, for which we compulsorily paid £95 for, several weeks before our visit, was at the back of the hotel, had huge stain marks in the bath, had bloodstains on the bathmat, was generally yucky. My wife could not bare to... More

Stayed here a few times over the years. Good clean rooms, good food and a great bar with a good selection of whisky. In the bar of an evening there is usually something going on in the way of live music etc. There is a good choice for breakfast and it has always been very good. All there food is... More

Eaten here twice this week. Thursday night curry night was brilliant value with an impressive range of dishes. Friday night we went for house specials and fish. Home made fishcakes were excellent and the scallops were a triumph. This place is to be highly recommended for food. Service is faultless and there are also good beers and ciders available.

Moderate room with rather basic private bathroom across corridor. Soundproofing poor as we heard everyone else passing by and live music till late in the bar below our room. We ate in and catering was ok although the one man waiter struggled to cope as the restaurant filled.

We stayed in room 7 and we certainly didn't get any sea views, just a close wall above the kitchen! The room and bathroom were quite grotty with rising damp on the wall next to the bed leading to a damp carpet. The bathroom needs a bit of TLC too! There was no guidance to breakfast in the morning and... More

Ordinary pub food can be forgiven when it is in a charming atmosphere. Unfortunately, the staff here have a serious attack of the glums. perhaps they tried the mussels with the white sliced bread and milk soup,
