We arrived too late to sample their restaurant but the music in the pub section later in the evening was good. The hotel room was fairly basic, feeling more like a better than normal hostel, but adequate for our needs. Shared bathroom but no problems - it was clean. Breakfast selection seemed ample but was amused by the reaction of... More

We came late from Edinburgh Airport, we got a nice little room on the 2nd floor with a phantastic view over Loch Broome. In the crowded pub downstairs we felt very comfortable and even got served a tasteful Pizza and a refreshing beer at a very late hour. And next morning we were very close to the ferry. We enjoyed... This is a small hotel in the street behind Shore Street the road fronting the loch shore at Ullapool. It is in a good position for walking to most things in Ullapool including the ferry terminal which is why I was staying for one night in order to do a last minute Calmac day trip to Lewis and also it... Unfortunately we were NOT made welcome at the reception desk, hotel would not microwave food at 5pm for baby travelling with us. Bedroom carpet dirty and bathroom old. BUT nice bedding and towels. As we were not made welcome we did not dine in, again BUT, next morning a lovely breakfast served by very pleasant waiter.

Didnt stay here but advised to go to the Argyll from Ferry boat Inn staff as live music on. So glad we did,-musicians playing Scottish folk music individually and joining in as a group. Great crowd in and a great atmosphere with the punters joining in a wee sing song. Happens weekly on Mondays. Luckily it was the one night... More

Best breakfast in Scotland!! We had a nice evening listening to a local band playing nice scottish music while sitting outside drinking our scottish coffee. Thank you for making a double room.into a triple, i liked your immediate response to my plea. Kind regards.

I visit this hotel annually as part of a motorbike excursion and it is perfect for our needs. An old fashion hotel with basic but clean/comfortable rooms. Some rooms have en-suite, some with shared bathrooms and there is a four bunk room which was what we needed. The food has always been good (evening & breakfast) and the bar has... More

Oldish furniture and a big comfy bed in a clean en-suite room. It only needs a refurb if you're expecting a Holiday Inn. This is beautiful Ullapool and the last thing we want is modern. Our friends had a room with views of the loch. There's no lift and there are 3 floors so possibly a problem if you can't... More

Stayed two nights, had front room on first floor above bar. Noise not excessive but were already aware of possibility. Would like to have known our en suite room had a bathroom across the corridor, would still have booked here but would like to have known. Breakfast was a little disappointing, nothing felt local. The bar was lively, with good... More

Stayed here for one night for the start of our island hop tour round Scotland. Room was very clean and tidy with a lovely view over the small harbour. Bed extremely comfortable. Had a lovely pint in the pub with great conversation with the barman. Had a meal in the restaurant afterwards which was really delicious and value for money.... More
