You have to be realistic here = Ullapool is probably used by a majority of people for one night stays pre ferry travel to W/Isles. As such (we certainly fell into that category) - one is looking for a reasonable standard but a sense of perspective is probably required. We found the room to be a bit small and dated... more

We stayed at this hotel for one night. Although it looked not so bad on the website, the room was actually really small and reminded me of youth hostel I have stayed years ago. we stayed for two nights in early September,the rooms are a bit small but the owners are upgrading ,it has a lovely aspect right on the shore of Loch Broom. The lounge area is very good,with views and any short comings where made up for by the meals especially the sea food.All the staff were friendly and helpfull. more

We selected the Harbour Lights Hotel because we were impressed with the Web Site and took advantage of the two day special Autumn offer for Dinner Bed and Breakfast, £45pp pd. plus an extra £10 pp for a loch view room.
