The room and en suite were very basic and tired looking, although this was reflected in the price. Breakfast was self service which is quite nice but the fried eggs were hard!! Overall not a great experience and wouldn't recommend. more

Stayed overnight at this hotel with my wife and cousins from Canada. The two rooms we had were clean enough, but the beds in both rooms were in a shocking state. Apart from being tatty, they both suffered from terminal "roll-together". I have contacted the hotel's head office twice, but, as yet, have had no reply. more

From the moment we arrived for a 2 night break this was a nightmare. We checked in late afternoon - to the apparent indifference to the man on reception. Our room was on the first floor overlooking the street with a partial view of the harbour. It was compact but serviceable and not cheap at £80 a night for B&B. Sadly, both twin beds had mattresses which sagged in the middle and creaked and groaned with every movement. The duvets smelled as though they had befriended a previous occupant... more
