We stayed here with an escorted bus tour. Although we knew that the hotels in the Highlands and tiny villages wouldn't be posh, this was our least favorite hotel, as far as the room. The building looks better than the rooms. There was mold on the bathroom ceiling and in the tiles, but it did have a nice, deep and... more

Hotel looked bit tired but was very clean. Staff friendly - thanks to Karen on reception who told us about the Gorge - we went there and it was spectacular. more

My girlfreind and i really enjoyed our stay here and found the hotel to be clean if a little dated. The staff where friendly and helpfull, the food was fantastic and it was very reasonably priced. if we where ever in ther area again we'd stay here just for the food and the fantasic view. more

Was booked in here by the Tourist Information people in Ullapool. First impressions were of a tired, dated place full of geriatric coach parties (mainly German) which were confirmed at every turn. I was given a room on the first floor which was tiny, with the single bed up against the wall and a bathroom, which was clean but stuck... more

Whilst we did not stay at the hotel we visited the "Cally Inn" resturant/Bar. We were seated and fairly promptly had our food etc. Which was very good - we were even talking (Prematurly) of asking the chefs name and for a comments card to let headoffice know of our experience. Unfortunatly we never got this far as after we... more

Just returned from a week in The Caledonian Hotel, Ullapool. I was very worried by all the negative reviews that I had read and after booking with Caledonian Travel wondered what kind of place I was going to! The rooms were clean (maid was in every day) the food was great (mother-in -law and husband are very fussy and even... more
