The Sheiling is a quite place to stay with good parking for people in their own vehicles. We were also running late so I would suggest calling ahead to any place you are staying out of courtesy for the owners. We were able to do our laundry here which was very convenient for us and the owners were very polite.... More

We had a one-night stay here with our 2yo toddler on a short driving tour of the west-highlands. Really couldn't fault the place - friendly hospitality from Lesley & Iain, comfortable room (cot & high-chair all provided) and top-notch breakfast. Very nice guest lounge with log-fire too. We'll definitely return next time we're looking for a B&B in the area.

This was my second stay at The Sheiling and it was nice to go back to somewhere you remembered as being really good and finding nothing had changed! The house has views to die for, the owners a very pleasant and helpful couple, rooms warm and comfortable and the breakfast brilliant!

Like so many people, my need for accomoodation in ullapool was based on a need to be up for the ferry the next morning. I wish i had the time to stay a bit linger, as The Sheiling was a genuinely lovely B&B that I will certainly seek out if I am in the area again. The hosts were very... More

My partner and I stayed at The Sheiling for one night. Simon and Tess (in the absence of owners Iain and Lesley) were excellent hosts. Our room was spacious, clean, warm and well equipped. The garden lead down to the Loch and beach, the B&B is well situated within easy walking distance of Ullapool. Breakfast provided a good choice of... More

Ideal place for one (or more) overnight stay(s) in Ullapool. From our quiet room we had an amazing view over Loch Broom. Breakfast was good scottish standard, service very friendly. To the center of Ullapool you have to walk about 0,7 miles (1,2 kilometers) that is normally no problem, but for elderly people with problems to walk it might cause... More

Our room was immaculate. We walked to town and enjoyed truly amazing views of the loch. Charming. The opportunity to wash a load of clothes while we enjoyed breakfast was a surprise bonus. Would love to stay again.

This was perfect for our one night stay before the ferry and would certainly be a nice place to stay longer - it's away from the noise of the main part of Ullapool with beautiful, tranquil views over Loch Broom but only a 12-13 minute walk from the ferry terminal. The hosts are efficient and professional but very unobtrusive, and... More
