Good deal, I thought, for a winter weekend break. £150 per room per night including breakfast and dinner for two people. Enjoyable to be in Ullapool in January - no tourists and nice and quiet. Good rooms and nice and warm which was important as snow on the hills. Restaurant was fair with really friendly staff. Same menu for dinner... More

The Ceilidh Place is a gem in the Scottish Highlands. The bedrooms are super comfortable and full of character. The restaurant/pub/cafe is friendly with great food and a huge log burner. It is a centre for music, poetry and all scottish culture with live music and poetry sessions. It also has a book shop attached. This place is just brilliant don't... More

We had to wait for a table at the Ceilidh Place. It was a Saturday night and the place was packed. But it was worth the wait. Great food in a very pleasant restaurant. We all chose a different meal from the comprehensive menu and all were delicious. Ullapool is a very pretty little place, We actually stayed at a... More

On a cold and windy night , The Ceilidh Place was very welcoming. We travel with our collie and like to take him with us for a drink and some food at night and the staff were great with him. He was as welcome as we were! The log burner kept us warm and gives the restaurant a cosy appearance.... More

We stayed at this hotel whilst having a few days away, driving around Scotland. My parents had diner here in the summer & suggested we try it. We weren't disappointed! It's 'arty' & almost 'bohemian', quirky cozy & welcoming. The lack of a television in the bedroom was great, more hotels should consider such a policy. Books and reading materials... More

Stayed here for 4 nights. Nice cosy room with a great, really comfortable bed. Bathroom with bath and a shower head fixed onto taps- not ideal in todays hotel expectations..... The water couldnt be regulated properly either and i was left kneeling in the bath either with freezing or boiling water, no middle mix. The fixtures inthe room also are... More

We stayed here one night as part of a wider trip around the Scottish Highlands. This place got a great review in The Lonely Planet and we were drawn to the sound of its authentic Scottish hospitality in a central location. We booked the day before our visit and the receptionist was very helpful and polite. Sadly, for the price... More

Hotel is very cute, warm and comfortable. Bathroom was very clean and bed cosy against the highland weather. Restaurant and bar are nicely lit with a fireplace and eccentric locals, food was a good average until we had the smoked hake - incredible dish, perfectly balanced flavours, would go back for this alone!

We popped in here hoping to have a meal. It was recommended by a young barman at another establishment whose place wasn't yet serving food. Well, what can I say!!! The place was lovely and warm, a log burner lit, it's a very nice looking place, but, the barman really needed to improve on his social skills, or maybe change... More

Dined here while on holiday. Good menu range with friendly staff. Nice to see the use of local ingredients. Well located in the centre of town. Would have liked to experience it when live music was playing but we weren't there on the right night.
