Another great stay at the Royal Hotel. Since my visit last year there have been further improvements with new carpets throughout the hotel and new doors on all rooms. I had booked a double balcony room however we got a very nice surprise when we were given the honeymoon suite (at double room price). This room boasted a very comfortable... more
I just thought I'd write a review of this hotel as I was married there a couple of weeks ago. I am a local living in Ullapool but had my wedding there and stayed there the night of my wedding. Out of the 100 odd guests from away that stayed in this hotel everyone thought there rooms were fantastic, the... more
Having driven to Ullapool on a whim the only reason for our stay was for the great price (being a family of 6). However, the rooms were clean and freshly decorated. The linen contemporary and tasteful. Plenty of space with beautiful views from the balcony. There was a good range of choice for breakfast. The staff were helpful, friendly but... more
We have just returned from a 2 day stay at the Royal Hotel in Ullapool and I must report that we had a delightful time. The room which we stayed in was a corner room with a door which lead to a balcony (which was shared with others) and from here we could sit an enjoy the marvellous view over... more
We travelled all the way from Glasgow to Ullapool, having stayed there back in April and vowed we would return. However, the hotel we tried to book in to (the one we stayed at in April) was fully booked, much to our disappointment having came all that way. It's the Harbour Lights Hotel, but the way, which I believe isn't... more
Whilst I agree with other reviews in regards to the decor, after staying in this hotel I greatly DISAGREE on other matters. I found that the breakfast was greasy and they gave you such small portions I was left hungry immediately after. There where spaces so big on your plate it wasn't a pleasent site. I found the rooms ok... more
We are very sorry to read the complaint. Our customer satisfaction rate is very high. However, on the rare occassions when a customer is disatisfied with any aspect of our hospitality we are always willing to offer some remuneration. We invite the customer to get in touch directly with details, unless of course, this is the guest for whom we...
We stayed at the Royal Hotel with a party of people who had all travelled up to Ullapool independantly. The Hotel is in new ownership and has been extensively refurbished - new windows and superb new bathrooms throughout, for example. Lovely boutique bedrooms - the ones at the front have a balcony overlooking Loch Broom with its fishing boats and... more
I visited the Royal Hotel, before reading the first review and must admit that if I had read that review I would not have chosen to stay there. But what a difference, an enthusiastic reception and manageress Marie seemed genuinely pleased to welcome us to her hotel. The whole hotel had a bright appearance and there were some signs of... more
