Sandy, Val and Mitch had a great stay at this hotel. The room was huge, clean and very comfortable. Dinner was very good although a little slow on serving, breakfast was great, so much to choose from. Neil the manager and the barman (sorry forgot your name) were very welcoming and helpful. Would definitely stay here again.

stayed here wednesday night for only one night, the room was clean and warm, but most of all huge, had dinner in the bar lounge, as resturant closes through the winter months, and could not fault it, breakfast is however served in the resturant, and must say it was one of the nicest cooked breakfarts I have had put before... My husband and I happened on this hotel by accident. we got a room in front that overlooked the bay. Sitting and watching the view was one of the most remarkable experiences! Some of the best pictures I took on my vacation were from the porch. I didn't even have to leave my chair! And the bar is fully stocked!... More

I've stayed twice now and this time was better than the first. The hotel is owned and run by two gents from Italy( Father & son I think) so the menu has an Italian theme. The rooms are clean and comfortable, some rooms have balconies which look over the loch. The first time I stayed and ate i had the... More

A largish hotel in the small town of Ullapool facing loch Broom. We stayed here between two days of private photography tuition so were mainly looking for a comfortable bed and somewhere that does food. It was very quiet (it was Sunday night in January) so most of the hotel was not in use due to low season. The bar... More

Last summer we stayed here as part of a bus tour. Of the 11 nights, this was the nicest. We had an upstairs room, which was an important part of the enjoyment. The little village with it's shops and the view, along with the large shared social deck were all part of making this a magical experience.

Stayed over the weekend for a short honeymoon get away. We got a four post bedroom. The room was lovely and the view amazing. The room was big, bright and very clean. The bedding was comfy and there were plenty of pillows. There was tea, coffee, hot chocolate and cookies for tea time. A balcony to sit out on and... More

Arrived here on a calm clear September evening prior to getting the Stornoway Ferry the next morning. Had booked balcony rooms and were able to enjoy a couple of drinks overlooking Loch Broom. If you like Whisky the bar is very well stocked and was playing an enjoyable if eclectic selection of music :) We only ate breakfast in the... More

An impromptu weekend over to the West of Scotland was made so much better by the excellent family accommodation at the Royal Hotel in Ulllapool. I had booked the rooms for one night with only a few days notice, having planned to visit Lochinver and Ullapool on a Saturday. The parking and hotel location were ideally situated at the end... My wife and I were touring Scotland and we left Portree in Skye a bit later than we expected. It was dark when we reached Ullapool. I had earlier seen the hotel's website and it seemed a reasonable place to stay. The room was shabby with these terrible hairy pillows on the bed. The furniture was late Harold Wilson (or... More
