If you are looking to explore the mountains and coastline around Ullapool, Forest Ways Bunkhouse is an ideal location if you are on a budget. We booked one night at short notice and had a really comfortable and cosy stay after a damp day in the mountains! There are 8 beds in two rooms at the bunkhouse which is situated... More

Stayed here from 2nd May for a few days. Great facilities in a fine and tranquil setting. This is an excellent base for bagging munros and Ian, the owner is a mine of useful local info. Will definitely return.

I wanted to climb some of the munros close to Ullapool and the Forest way ticked the boxes for a base. It is perfectly situated for the hills south of the village. The place itself is comfortable well equipped and clean. Iian the owner has thought about what walkers need and want and has provided exactly that. He is a... More

Great location for munros and much more. It is well equipped and very comfortable. Iain has experience of staying in other bunkhouses and understands what people need and expect. He is a great guy and nothing is too much trouble. If he could only sort the weather!! I will be back I have unfinished buisness!!!! 😀 😀😀😀😀😀

Three of us stayed a night here but wish it could have been longer. Iain the perfect host for those who love the outdoors (and what a great selection of books in the lounge!). The perfect stress-free with a stunning waterfall walk just 50 yards away. Kids will love feeding the rabbits. We'll be back :@)

Great B&B accommodation perfectly situated for hillwalking and whatever else takes your fancy. Very comfortable room and a friendly, relaxed atmosphere. Good traditional breakfast too. Iain is on hand to provide local knowledge about what to do in the area. The bunkhouse looks great too.

We have stayed in the room with an ensuite for 4 nights. Very clean and spacious. Location is wonderful and parking not a problem. The breakfast was great and very filling. The owner (Iain) was very helpful by giving us daily information to plan our days. We really recommend this place.

We stayed in a couple of hostels on our trip around northern Scotland, but this one was hands down the best! The rooms are absolutely lovely and they sleep only four, which makes them a lot more private than other hostels for the same price. The communal area/kitchen is cosy and well-presented and the setting is absolutely beautiful. The host... More
