Staying with at the Tenterden was a lovely experience. Simon and his wife are great hosts and we felt very welcome. We loved the house with all of it's hand picked furniture and decorations. The breakfast was amazing as was the view from the sittingroom. Also the house is surrounded by a beautiful garden with half a dozen ducks running... More

The B&B is an amazing house with a soul. The first non commercial host who opens the front door in his kilt. He is a lovely, hospital guy who even helps you to choose a kilt in the local store. He even gives the a compliment : "You have nice legs to wear a kilt !"

We stopped in early evening met Simon and asked if a room was available. He showed us the room, we said we wanted it and he then showed us the basics of the room and bathroom. He pointed out that there is no lock on the front door or any bed room doors. We tried to pay him for the... More

Unfortunately this was a miss-understanding but it was more than 2 hours that they were away and on several occasions this summer other customers have 'shopped' around and not come back.I was able to tell them the location of other B&Bs with vacancies. More

I'm not often moved to review places I stay in, but this was for me the ideal B&B. A tastefully decorated and comfortable house with real character, very well located and with terrific views and a lovely little garden. On top of that it was charmingly and thoughtfully run, and there was a delicious breakfast. Wholeheartedly recommended.

I found this sweet bed and breakfast on my feet as I needed lodging for one night. It's very conveniently located right on the main road in Ullapool. The arrangement was made with ease by Simon. I was delighted with my single room which was cozy, warm and hugely comfortable. Eileen and Simon's home is a treasure. It's small but... More

We just finished a road trip through Scotland and this was by far the worst B&B we stayed at. It is disgustingly dirty; mould in the sink and shower of the shared bathroom, frayed towels, filthy carpets, mould on the ceilings and dirty walls. Ullapool is a small place but there are plenty of other B&Bs that would all be... More

This review we consider to be vindictive coming from a guest who barely spent 10 hours with us. His party arrived 10pm, tired and stressed from having completed a very demanding days driving far too far on our small country roads. The 3 guests accepted a no cost upgrade from a triple to a twin and a single as we... More

Arrived late on the evening of our stay, there had been a bit of misunderstanding on booking and we had not realised it was shared accommodation. The rooms and bathroom were not very clean at all, the shower area was tiny and not particularly effective. The room I was in did not have a lock on the door and after... More

Another review by the same guest .This is the true date 6th June. The previous review for the 14th June is impossible as we had a different group of guests staying. There were no other guests staying on the 6th June. The heating is controlled by the guest in each individual room More

Follow the ducks through the wild garden and you will finda charming, quaint and particular B&B. If the door opens, you will follow Aileen through the house full of nooks and crannies and the next day Simon will make you a big, great, scotish Breakfast! We enjoyed it a lot! Thanks!

Two friends and I rolled into Ullapool rather late, found most of the town booked, and just when we thought we were out of luck, we found this! When we saw the sign, "Please close gate, ducks in the garden," we knew this was the place for us. Eileen and Simon's house is lovely inside, full of eclectic, interesting things... More

if you want a travelodge style place to stay, forget it. This place is quirky, almost unique, and you are made to feel most welcome. Stayed four nights...missed breakfast twice as I slept so well. When I made it to Brekkie it was lovely, friendly atmosphere, varied food choices, bacon to die for, fellow visitors join you, and Simon n Eileen... More
