An excellent, clean and comfortable place to stay. Very good breakfast and advice for evening meals. Good even though we were not biking due to injury. My 4 year old enjoyed the stay and was made to feel very welcome. Thank you more

Stayed over a couple of nights fantastic welcome,well set out every thing you need to complete a good cycling holiday and advice on rides to do.Kirroughtree black run is great. Breakfast large and filling. Also advice for an evening meal at The Douglas Arms was spot on. Good luck to Clair and Sam for the future. Dave Macdonald. Edinburgh more

What a great place! Nicely located for mountain bikers to explore the 7 Stanes trails. Found the B&B through The Brake Pad website, they also have a bike shop at Kirroughtree trail. We were welcome from the moment we walked through the door to the moment we departed. The house was clean and tidy, everything worked, all furniture was intact, lots of towels, we did not feel like we were intruding in someone's home and the breakfasts were tremendous. For anyone looking for somewhere to stay when riding the 7 Stanes, we've just come back from a stay at The Break Pad in Castle Douglas. We stayed there so we could ride Drumlanrig and Kirroughtree.
