Stayed here for 4 nights with a friend, used the hotel as a base to ride the 7staines mountain bike trails. The hotel is perfect , felt like we were staying at my local ,Each day we were treated to a full choice at breakfast, the haggis was so good. After a hard days biking it was great to come... more

Castle Douglas, a 'Tesco town' which lacks its own town council and which is in a Labour held Westminster contituency, has no great hotels or restaurants. Great comfortable hotel, right in the heart of a great golfing region. This is the second time we've stayed here. Comfy rooms, Great food and drink and more importantly a good post-golf craic!
