Excellent accommodation in beautiful location. Made to feel very welcome with tea and shortbread on arrival, served out in the lovely garden. Bedroom and shower room very comfortable and spotlessly clean. Views from the bedroom window were superb - over the river Cree estuary. Great night's sleep followed by a cracking breakfast - home cured bacon and sausages made by... More

We only stayed one night bed and breakfast. We were made very welcome by the lady of the house with tea and shortbread. A nice touch. Our twin room was clean but oddly shaped furniture layout. Great shower, nice towels and toiletries. I did not sleep well because as soon as it began to get light it just came straight... More

We entered to a warm welcome with hot tea and biscuits. We were two couples traveling together and were given a choice of three rooms. Two were en-suite and the larger one had it's bath across the hall. All were very nice. The showers had the controls I love--set temp on one dial and set water pressure on another dial.... More

Had a lovely warm welcome from Basil and Sue. Stayed for 2 nights in the twin room. The room was clean, very comfortable and had equipped with everything you need. The breakfasts were lovely especially the home cured bacon and homemade sausages. I really enjoyed the lovely touch of a candle in my birthday breakfast. This is a great place... More

We booked last minute for one night - what a good choice! Basil and Sue were excellent hosts. On our arrival we felt very welcome, and after our long drive tea and biscuits was a great greeting. The room was very comfortable and spotless as was the ensuite. Great breakfast, good base for touring, would stay again if we were... More

First class accommodation, food and hospitality and a friendly, warm welcome. On our arrival we greeted with tea and scones. The bedroom and ensuite were finished to a high standard and very clean and tidy as were the rest of the B&B. Lovely gardens and adequate parking. The cooked breakfast was excellent. Basil and Sue were first rate hosts and... More

On a whim I asked my wife if she would like to go away for the bank holiday weekend. After getting the ok I booked the 24th through to the 26th August 2013 at the Muirfad farmhouse B&B Palnure, D&G, Scotland. And, I must say I am extremely glad I did, from the start we were made very welcome by... More

A truly first class B&B where Bas and Sue made us feel so welcome. The room was very well furnished, bed comfy, spotless and even a chocolate on the bedside table. The breakfast was delicious with home cured bacon and sausage. The outlook onto the attractive garden just highlighted the attention that has gone into this B&B. Highly recommended.

We stayed for 2 nights last week after a few days further north in the Highlands. We'd stayed in another 4* rated B&B up there, but it couldn't compare to Muirfad Farmhouse. Bas and Sue were extremely friendly, warm and welcoming. The twin room was spacious and had lovely comfy beds and a fabulous outlook over the immaculate garden and... More
